  1. I don't think there is any need to increase the amount of points given by alignment chat options. I rather prefer the idea of slowly building my way up. Reaching the light or dark side ranks at lower character levels than I can even equip the gear is just silly. I haven't earned that many thousands of points yet, I've barely stepped out of the academy.
  2. I can't stand playing the game because nearly all of the alignment points I get are not a result of my chat options, but rather are merely a product of my alignment commitment. This is a major problem because alignment as it relates to my choices is an extremely important component of the roleplay in this game for me. I want my choices to matter. I understand some people don't want that, because to them, alignment is only a means to get access to relics. But not everyone feels this way. If I were simply allowed to opt out of the commitment, I would have no problems with its existence. Alternatively, I think it should be drastically nerfed. It is so high that you can choose only choices that go against your alignment, and still be collecting points toward that alignment rapidly. If it were a tenth what it currently is, it would easily serve the purpose of preventing people from accidentally straying from their chosen alignment, without enforcing anyone to go down the path of their commitment.
  3. 1/4th actually. Well at least I'm not the only one going through this. But how come I'm not getting any flirt options? Everyone else says they get them around 2000 affection, but I've got her over 8000 and she still gives me none! I've finished the Belsavis class quests and she hasn't said much at all to me since about 3000 affection. Every 500 when she wants to talk to me on the ship, she only says something mundane that's not really important OR private. One time she asked me to play sabacc with her.
  4. Sith Inquisitor has the 5% to all main stats buff. I might have done my math wrong, but it looked to me like power and willpower were giving exactly the same raw damage bonus. If that is the case, then willpower is always better except for those who make common use of abilities not meant for your advanced class (like a sorcerer using Thrash). But once again, I need to double-check my math as I may be incorrect about this. If power does in fact give 20% more raw damage than willpower does then power is probably almost always better, with willpower only winning out when you have very little crit rating. In that case, getting more crit rating is more important than deciding between willpower or power. This is because the willpower crit bonus and the crit rating crit bonus are applied together toward the same 30% crit ceiling (I think).
  5. Well I can tell one of us here has never had trouble accessing the SWTOR forums...
  6. If you collected strength holocrons, then all you have to do is go collect willpower holocrons. You can keep the strength and it won't hold you back in any way.
  7. I could see the accuracy point useful for soloing if it gave +10% accuracy with only one point. But since madness has so little purpose for it, it's really a stupid point. I could see just 2% or maybe even 1% per point being useful to melee types, but 3% wouldn't be over the top.
  8. I agree. Perhaps the biggest reason it would be so useful is because a sorceror healer has to stand still for 2 - 2.5 seconds to cast a heal. That's if they get lucky and aren't disrupted or thrown back, or have to run around to figure out how to get line of sight with their target. So they pretty much have to stand in the fire because the fire WILL get put under them as soon as they start casting the heal. The alternate is just to never heal anyone, which makes them a pretty lousy healer indeed.
  9. Khem Val is a tank, so obviously he goes well with your healing. Even if you spec away from Madness, you still have the healing abilities. But if you want to get used to the more difficult task of running with a DPS companion with lousy DPS, go with Andronikos Revel and don't update his weapons. It'll be just like having Ashara Zavros, except he'll die less.
  10. I wish they had made the base classes viable, and not force you to choose an advanced class. It wouldn't be difficult. A class can be viable without as many skill options, as long as the skills they do get are good enough to get by with. In Ragnarok Online, you get more than one chance to advance your class to another class, but you can also stay where you are and be perfectly viable. So before any of you have some smarmy, ignorant retort to what I said, go check Ragnarok Online for an example of how it can be done, and don't tell me it is unreasonable.
  11. I'm having trouble gaining affection with Ashara Zavros. I've talked to lots of people and found out many reasons this could be happening, and none of them quite explain what's happening with me. I have a male Sith Sorceror, level 45 (currently), and through an immense amount of effort I have gotten Ashara Zavros' affection up past 8000. This whole time, the best I have been able to get from any affection gift is the 'like' amount - this goes for Republic Memorabilia, Weapons, Military Gear, and Cultural Artifacts. There are no gifts she 'favorites' or 'loves'. This has been the case since the beginning. At first I was just trying to gain affection with her to reach more story options with her, but now I'm desperate to find out what is wrong with her! Many people say that she starts granting more affection from certain gifts like Republic Memorabilia or Courting Gifts after a certain point, many say this happens around 2000 affection. But I'm over 8000 and this hasn't happened yet! Can anyone tell me why this could be happening?
