  1. It's posts like these that make me happy to know there are players like me who enjoy the game for what it is
  2. It's something we all have to come to terms with as MMO players. That whatever MMO you will play in the future will fail in comparison to your first real MMO that you played. The exploration the mystery, the fun antics. It's all washed away after those first couple years of playing an MMO, you come to expect things and things don't surprise you as much.
  3. It all depends if Bioware will want to fund full VO for the expansion (Not to mention tracking down all the Voice Actors used) Something tells me they wont but we can always hope

    SW Clarification

Hey Guys, been a while since I have posted really anything (Think it was back in 1.1) My real question is to am I in the clear for leveling a Marauder for PvP? Does it perform well in PvE? Or am I in the wrong and should have been leveling a Juggernaut? It's been a while since I have last played this game so I'm lost to how warriors have developed. I dont want short responses with "OMG THEY OP RAWRRRR" What I do want is a good clear response. And then I'll decide if the class is way too easy and I should just level something else. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
  5. This idea sounds so awesome. I support this fully!
  6. If you read some of my earlier responses to some people I state that I know Jawas are a project still long in the future, and the game itself has much to fix before we even remotely consider it being a playable race. I agree with your point though fully.
  7. In a broad view of this game you can tell we wont be having Jawas for some time (Years possibly) As for Jawa Animations I agree that they do need to work out character bugs, and do some fixes before a Jawa is even conceivable to place in the game For New Voice overs In my opinion I don't think they will have a hassle with it because they are hiring voice actors constantly so new content can be pushed out (If it has a story line) And if no effort was ever put into anything nothing would get done at all, for a company like Bioware I think effort is a requirement, and It really shows in there games.
  8. Developing animations for every race is not unobtainable Guild Wars 2 and WoW have no trouble adapting animations for a certain race. Now its not saying that because WoW had this SWTOR should too, its giving some examples of other developers that have done wonderful animations for each race. I would have to disagree that strength matters when it comes to the lore of a Jedi or Sith, what really stands out is pure emotion. So for a Sith the more Hate, Anger, Sorrow he/she feels the stronger the force in them. (At least that is the way it goes in the Star Wars Universe) Same for a Jedi with Peace, Tranquility, Justice (To a point) When Yoda fights, the philosophy of the Jedi is that the force flows through the Jedi allowing enhancement of Strength/Agility/Awareness it states nowhere that you have to be a certain size or strength in any Force Teaching (Unless you count the Racism against them by the Empire, but really the SI story line is about being a slave and going to the top no matter how you are viewed. This can apply to Jawas) And if you dont want to be a Jawa on your BH because the race doesn't feel right? Do not use it then, I get it completely I myself do not want my Sith Warrior any other race than a Sith Pureblood, same with a Jedi I wouldnt want anything other than human. Its all about personal preference.
  9. If you are uneasy after Black Talon I would recommend Republic. Why I stay with the empire is not because I love to kill people at my own whim (Which ironically all my characters are evil TBH.) It's because the LS choices are more practical and make sense to me. When I play Republic I keep thinking how no one on earth acts like this. It does not seem human to be that compassionate and caring all the time. As a human you will be either or more or less but you are never gonna make a good choice all the time same with a bad choice. Republic and Empire both make Good Choices and Evil Choices, it is just how you view it. Either Government in the SWTOR universe is un-perfect and more or less the same in there intentions (That's how I view It) It's really up to you
  10. I believe that Jawas would be able to learn Basic and wield the same powers a JC/JK or a SW/SI It never states that a SW/SI or JC/JK has to be pure brute strength, alot of the philosophy even with the Dark Side is about Emotion or the lack of it. As for romance I agree there would be a problem but I would be fine without any kissing scenes since alot of the "Sexual" stuff is cut out through a black screen anyway. For IA/ or RT There would be some problems sure, but there is a reason why some races are restricted from certain classes unless you use the Legacy Feature to your benefit.
  11. Let me get this out first, I love Jawas. I've always wanted a pet Jawa or a companion for one (Sadly I am not a BH) The Bigger Question is this :: When is the Jawa race going to become playable I for one love Jawas, and have always thought they would be a fun race to play. However I have not found a game that allows you to play as a Jawa (I may be mistaken there is probably one stray cartridge game that allows you that pleasure) Nonetheless this thread is for Jawa lovers and enthusiasts Here are some reasons why Jawas COULD be a playable race. 1: Tatooine Storyline :: Openings for JK/Consular or SW/IQ (No matter how silly that seems It is definitely possible as in the origin quest line for the Consular (Exclusive If I'm not mistaken)) You decide if a Flesh Raider can join the Jedi Order or not since it Is Force Sensitive. (The Story line for the Flesh Raider ends after you make your decision) This does leave open the door that if the race is force sensitive there is a chance. 2: If It has a gun it will shoot it :: From the BH Companion to simple mobs in Tatooine you see that the Jawas are completely viable with a gun leaving openings to the BH/IA and Smuggler/Trooper Story lines (No matter how ridiculous it may seem for a Jawa to have that sort of story line and I am also guessing the armor adaptation would look Alien to us at first but I'm for it) 3: The Cloaks Can Go :: Even if they are as to be a described a "Rat Like" race of people (Hence why they wear there cloaks not only for sun and sand protection but to cover the face) I have faith in Bioware to make them look presentable to the community. Leave your Jawa Love or Criticism below!
  12. Continue to level your bounty hunter and when the server transfers are out use the free ones to give your BH some new life. Wherever you go it will be better than your server.
  13. I've been with this game since the earliest announcement was made. 3-4 Years later and I'm still following it closely. I personally see this game as a success as far as a New MMO goes (This game has only been running for close to 6 Months) There are some problems, but that is to be expected with an MMO that try's to make something totally new yet still trying to keep elements we all know and love (Group finder, Warzones, Even the Auction House) But still I see people complaining about this game like it is about to come to an end. Pre-Launch the forums were full of optimistic people that couldn't wait to get there hands on this game, and there was actually a sense of self doubt to opinions. Now we see 4-6 posts a day spouting Doomsday threats at this game, when we both know that doesn't help it just overall lessens the morale of the people that play this game daily. What I want to see is that same optimism and constructive feedback instead of Rage posts like "I'm unsubbing because of-" and going on to say how Bioware fails and this game sucks. So tell me in this thread some good things about the game that you love, personally I love how I am really in the Star Wars universe. I can play out some scenarios that people hadn't of dreamed of 20 years ago. For you it might be PvP, PvE, questing, or the overall game like me. Post what you like about this game
  14. Oh yea I have a setup for about 1300 That will run all newly released games on Max real nice I just dont have the money for it right now. Thanks for the feedback
  15. Everything seemed fine by minimum requirements but when I had my experiences on the beta and after constant tweaking with the graphics even on all the way to low It still gave me horrible FPS lag. Heres my setup. Processor: AMD Athlon 7550 Dual Core-Processor 2.50Ghz Ram: 8 GB System Type: 64 Bit Graphics Card: Nvdia Geforce 9100 It's a HP 2009 and I know It's only almost 3 years old but It shouldn't be having that much of a tough time. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
