  1. Krayt Supremacy is going to be having a couple of teams possibly queuing each weekend. Most of us will be unavailable this upcoming Saturday, but they might be available at late night and Sunday.
  2. There's only a couple of people at most responsible for things such as this, and even then, the amount of influence they have over people is limited to their circles. I haven't seen a single person on fleet on either side completely dedicated to maliciously assaulting random strangers: the only bad fights I see are between players who obviously know each other and have some history. This isn't a problem. Like we both agree, attitude is the real issue. Because you have people like yourself that want to do this: Trying to impact players, who are mostly this: This is why the summits fail. This is why the entire prospect of helping others fails. This is why every solution of running events, setting up plans of motivation, whatever your minds come up with, just flat out fails. No one in the past server summits or even in this thread now want to address the issue, because either people are too afraid to step on people's toes or they simply are too prideful to admit their little schemes won't succeed. The change in attitude must be made, we have way too many "white knights" promoting the overwhelming single player game mindset that the majority accepts as "good" or "ideal". All these people that are silent, being defended by the loud minority that agree with the hurtful mentality of "play the game the way you want to play". Telling people to take pride in themselves and not take crap from anyone without giving a single thought to what happens when you boost someone's ego continuously. If you want people to treat the game as an MMO, then you have to fight against the single player, casual elitist mentality that is so heavily defended by white knights and apologists. There is simply no alternative, unless you want to add to the three years of experience every other failure has contributed to.
  3. Third group to try these summits, so it's no surprise nothing has come from this. At least you haven't given up. But still: every attempt you make at creating a solution that avoids the casual elitist mindset so prevalently defended on this server is going to fail. The fact that you have no support in events isn't a problem of communication: no one cares enough to support what you're doing. Keep trying to get the word out all you want, doesn't make a difference if no one is willing to listen. Until you attack the real problem of the server, attitude, then you're wasting time. You can see it in this thread: people are more concerned with stopping trolls than working on changing their own mindsets to avoid being easy targets for them. As long as you remain apathetic to those viewpoints, you will not get anywhere. Support them, and your failure is guaranteed.
  4. The sap heal point is good, as no one really has a counter for it anymore. I'd suggest enforcing a rule where sap healing is only allowed if the dueler is not using the utility that grants 2 seconds of Force Shroud/Evasion on cloak out. Normally, sap healing itself isn't actually as strong as many people believe with the class differences along with the ability to force a stealther out by regening or locking them into combat with taunts, but the ability to autocleanse and resist taunts in the case of assassins makes it too easy. So barring one but allowing the other is what I'd like to see happen for diversity's sake. In any case, with the restrictions on Concealment Ops, this tourney sounds like it'd be a more variable situation than the others that just let Conceal Ops steamroll anyone.
  5. Your opinion is still a bit limited. The server's population hasn't really improved, only gotten a few players to return to the game that are above average or some new transfers. Relatively few players compared to the population as a whole have come up in the last half year, aside from Dead Eagles' roster (this is also assuming they didn't see change because of server xfers and their players developed on BC). At 65s, you probably queued at the time where the highest concentration of these returning players or secret alts started queuing. Overall, the population has been the same in terms of development from my weekly experience.
  6. Hatred/Serenity DPS output is more than capable of being a threat to an enemy team. Your understatement holds about as much disregard for the threat as someone saying, "all you have to do to beat sorc heals is interupt the casts." Pressure damage itself is at a low because Sorc HPS is ridiculous. Spec and weaknesses are fine.
  7. Infiltration is the burst spec. Serenity is a dot based, multiple target damage spec designed to pressure an entire team's health down. The two specs are polar opposites: Infiltration is designed to be a ganking 1v1 spec specializing in single target and lacking in everything that Serenity has as positives, as well as Serenity lacking in the advantages Infiltration has. However, Infiltration is also a pretty weak burst spec in overall damage output. Rotating defensive cooldowns against targets and controlling your opponent with your Low Slash and hard stuns will be the determining factor for solo kills, rather than straight bursting someone to zero in a matter of seconds.
  8. Not enough salt in this thread. But lol at Jedi Order queuing for ranked against other teams.
  9. With the wind whisfully brushing his smooth bald head, Memo rides into the bar on a ripstick, proclaiming, "I am a gay dawg."
  10. Gonna leave my criticisms here: For starters, the combination of the Stun Damage Reduction and the Deflection Stun Immunity utility points seems to be a "shooting yourself in the foot type of build". Personally, I feel that the overall value in not being stunned is very minimal for a spec like Hatred, considering most of your damage is going to be from DoTspread. The spec is by far the worst single target damage dealing spec in the game, meaning that you're not really going to be stopped much if someone tries to chain stun you repeatedly as long as you get the DoTs off. In fact, it's a benefit not to have it, considering it forces you to be patient with your single target DPS to increase efficiency and at the same time, can be the difference between life or death if burst comps stun lock you during their burst /reduce damage intake from pressure comps if your healer needs some help to recover. Of course, that's for when Hatred is used for organized team ranked. For solos, this may be different depending on how you handle a team tunneling you. The Mara class comparisons are also a bit silly: Hatred is pretty easy for a Carnage Marauder to burst. Their Devastating Blast nukes your health bar efficiently through Deflection because Ataru's form activation occurs too often for 50% def chance to effectively nuke, and their weapon burst in Ravage and VT easily gives them options when you activate Force Shroud. Along with the range reductions to Demolish and DF, kiting them is not really a viable option anymore. Anni's passive damage and utilities in healing and anti kiting talents also grant it a large advantage over Hatred, and Fury's strong passive damage reduction to internal along with the extensive damage types that can burst Hatred hard put Maras as a better class overall against the DoT spec. From a 1v1 perspective, anyway.
  11. Ok, I see it now. The second clear looks to have used three healers because there was no WB buff, but OC's clear did it with two because they had said buff. Where, of course, only bads or non geared healers would have trouble with it since it's essentially a test on whether or not your healers know how to number pad their stats. Let's just hope someone here can actually down that boss through running the mechanics intentionally before everyone has a 204 MH, right?
  12. Dulfy's guide explains it. In my opinion, since you're bypassing it up to the point where you don't even need the buff from the WB, I consider it to be a cheese. Considering it looks like both teams had three healers in their group.
  13. So is cheesing the fight considered legit?
