  1. Love the 1.2 UI customization. Two major things I would love to see: - X/Y co-ordinate setting. - Ability to modify the strata of any interface element.
  2. I didn't get to see much of this event. With that said: - I like that it's a one-time thing. - I liked that it was unannounced. Spontaneity is good! - Event currency vendors should stay when an event is over. - Future currencies in the currency tab please! That's all I can come up with, nice event. Looking forward to future ones. Cheers,
  3. Galbatorrix already covered everything pretty well. There is really no good reasons AC respec's shouldn't happen. A few of the common arguments against: No, it's not like that at all. Advanced classes share in some cases more than 50% of their core abilites, they share the exact same storyline, the same gear (primary stat), a talent tree, companions, ship, resource system. I'm probably forgetting a few. This isn't unique to advanced classes. Going from a Sawbones to a Scrapper is about as different as going from a Sawbones to a Gunslinger. People adapt and learn. Not relevant at all. Star Wars doesn't have to follow an unwritten set of rules that say no to class respecs. But to entertain the idea for a second; compare a Sage to a Shadow. Quite different right? One is ranged, one is melee. Too different? Now compare a Resto Druid to a Feral Druid. You won't mind if talent respecs are removed then right? Right here's a fair point, it's not an insurmountable problem though. An advanced class respec could be made extremely cost prohibitive, have limits in the number of times you can respec, credit costs or other time/currency sinks. The bottom line is rolling the same base class twice is boring and not fun. I've done it, it killed my enthusiasm for the game for a few months. TL;DR: Implemented properly advanced class respecs could work for the benefit of everyone with little or no consequences. Aurlon
  4. This video again. The video where he kills a few sub-level 30 players then dies repeatedly to anything with a brain.
  5. No you don't. DFA/Mortar has minimum range, you can't do it at your feet. You act like people are dying in 5 seconds. It would take minimum 10 seconds of a BH wailing on you to die. LoS the BH to reduce his damage done by 100%, not hard. You don't have to be a "supercomputer" to hear the tracer distinctive sound/graphic and respond within ~2-3 seconds. Stop wearing green questing gear vs full battlemaster then. A full battlemaster has what, 18k hp? So let's see, to be 4 shot each tracer would have to do 4.5k damage, more than 200% of it's base damage. In what dreamland does this occur? Also LoS is literally everywhere in this game and interrupts even mid-cast.
  6. FA/Unload will only get 2 ticks off at best. DFA/Mortar can be moved out of easily (mortar anyway...) Rail shot is excellent but you rely on this to backload your burst. Lack of perception is a l2p issue, not a reason to nerf a spec. How hard is it to notice a guy spamming smoking rockets with such a giant animation/loud sound? It's got to be one of the most distinct sounds in the game. The thing most people seem to forget in these discussions is everything you just mentioned costs heat/ammo. Guess what happens if you attack someone with 3x tracert, heatseeker, 1 railshot and an unload and it doesn't kill them? You hope you have your 2min heat/ammo cooldown up or you sit there doing 1/10th of your usual damage.
  7. Any team with any clue whatsoever will sit on a gunnery/arsenal player because they do almost zero damage while under pressure. My "other abilities" consist of a knockback on a 20 second cooldown. Time it takes until you're on-top of me again: 1 force speed/force charge.
  8. Tracer Tracer Tracer heatseeker to an equally geared opponent will put them at 50% at best. Less vs absorb targets. You could also interrupt it. It also puts them in the slow heat regen zone. You can also make the BH 100% useless by using LoS. Sure someone in full Battlemaster vs. a fresh 50 in greens could possibly get 4-shot assuming everything crits. That's hardly a valid comparison. Everyone with an interrupt eats tracer/grav spam for breakfast. Sorc/Sage and Scoundrel/Op, any tank class will roll over them with such ease it's laughable. The only thing tracer/grav is good for is fighting pugs from the safety of a balcony. In every other situation a sorcerer/sage will do more damage while taking less in return. Edit: It's funny that people complain about the weak gunnery/arsenal specs when assault spec/pyrotech is 10x better in PvP.
  9. SPOILERS (might also want to put that in your title...) It is stated several times that you are now directly at war. That mission where you rescue the senators of outer rim worlds from imperial capture? They were letting Imperial fleets right through onto Republic core worlds to attack. I agree it lacks urgency and seems lackluster, however.
  10. ITT: People who cannot interrupt. Easier to try and get others nerfed than try to improve yourself right?
  11. You are not stuck at all. You can move after 3 seconds and all 3 shots will still go off. The damage is just delayed.
  12. You could say that being able to respec between 3 different skill trees is flexible. Being able to respec between 6 different skill trees however is even more flexible! They do not define your character in any way. And yes, I do know: http://i.imgur.com/pSyOR.jpg TL;DR Because people would complain. So what's new? Honestly I don't quite understand the point you're trying to make, so I guess not. If I'm reading you correctly, the solution to the problems you pose would be to make the cost to respec AC's prohibitive.
  13. It makes the game more flexible. I can play how I like (=more fun). There you go. And AC respecs are not? AC respecs have nothing to do with story. That's the point. Everyone is harping on about if we had AC respecs people would flip flop. The costs prevents that.
