  1. Nice way to launch at someone who was not denying that PvP has serious issues and was helping clarify the issue. Have you tried using Wireshark to looks the packets or is your expertise shooting from the hip? Since you call the measurement that SWTOR gives "ping" I think we are clear on your technical knowledge anyway.
  2. OK, short version for those with short attention spans. SLI/Crossfire adds a lot of overhead and this is why you do not get 2X performance from using 2 cards. If the game is unable (See DX9 comments) to utilize two cards, it means you get the penalty and not the benefit. As has been discussed ad nausea um, this game is intensely CPU dependent. I run OC CPU with lots of RAM and a single 970 with all settings to max except shadow maps and see 60+ FPS in 16 man ops. SLI will probably not ever work with this game and is totally unnecessary.
  3. Probably about the same level of difficulty as getting rid of trolls.
  4. Holy cra^p! You're a community of trolls now?!?
  5. Remember the 2/10 I gave you on the other worthless thread? Rescinded.
  6. Fair enough! Wow, the game engine is even worse than I thought......
  7. So why did you participate since before launch, take 2 years off and then come back to do nothing but complain? You posted a couple times at launch, left for two years and now have 400+ sad and whiny posts. What's worse, a poorly finished game engine or the player that keeps coming back and doing nothing but whine and complain about it?
  8. I would normally give this troll a 0/10, but since they managed to get 4 pages of response in a short time I grudgingly give 2/10.
  9. What in the world does that empty comment have to do with the subject? The clipping has been known and acknowledged since before launch as a physics issue that would put too much of a performance penalty on the game. Considering how poorly the game generally already runs, I tend to believe this too be true and would not want single digit frame rates to fix a cosmetic issue. Since fixing clipping (a VERY common issue in games) would require deep alterations to the existing engine or a change of engine altogether, I think we all know the answer to the question. Live with it or move on because no matter how many pages of threads about clipping, it is very likely not changing in a game that is barely keeping its head above water as it is.
  10. People are finally catching on to what a sad troll you are and are ignoring your threads so you resort to bumping your sorry little threads. Made my day, thanks!
  11. Oh man, I wish I had 2.8 Billion credits so I could afford to buy.....oh wait......
  12. Yes, it is the interconnects that cause the greatest part of the slowdown, but it is very common to over estimate the speed of light. At 100% speed of 183,000 miles/second it takes about 16 milliseconds to go from west coast US to east coast. In a fiber optic cable you get about 75% of that and therefore each 3,000 miles adds 20 milliseconds. That may sound fast in human experience, but 20 milliseconds is a long time to a computer. A high quality business router will add about 200 microseconds per hop assuming no bottlenecks. Oh, and try not to use the term Interwebz as it is a horrible and totally inaccurate term. When you are playing an MMO you are not using the World Wide Web. When you engage in forum battles, that is the web.
  13. The way I did it was to use the mod-able pieces you can buy/craft/get from quests and then use the armorings/mods/enhancemements purchased with planetary comms or from mod-able gear obtained from quests.
  14. The only difference in the two quotes is one refers to web based and the other to online and they both refer to EA having sole license for core gaming markets. I have a feeling bother are referring to browser based games and not MMO's as being in the Disney area.
