Thank you all very much! especially ommm, there are no strange glitchy blobs anymore and I can see my toon! Better yet I can play the game! Oh, and the fellow that was having issues uninstalling intel drivers, it can be done, it is rather tough if you dont know what you are doing (like meself). Let me know if you need assistance in this matter. It appears the community is more helpful than the support team.

this looks like graphics artifacts, and most of the time its due to heat, graphics card issues/damage, make sure your graphics card temps arent high (check manufacturer website for recommended operating temps) This can be also due to not enough power supply wattage, dying power supply, dying graphics card, but from my experience its usually heat related.

If you are using a laptop for swtor i must stress unless its a gaming laptop with great cooling eg: (expensive alienware laptops) then you might be out of luck, can try using a can of compressed air to blow out dust from vents, if you have a desktop, check ur temps and get rid of dust and re apply thermal pastes.

Not saying this is the only cause for artifacts but it is the #1 cause of them.

this is something bioware cannot fix for you, it is something on your computer, software or most likely hardware.

Greetings All,

Can I ask affected users to post your DxDiag files here within spoiler tags and with the computer name removed. With that information we may be able to point you in the right direction.

OBTAINING A DxDiag FILE:
  1. Press Windows Key + R
  2. Enter in the following window “DxDiag” and press ENTER or “OK”. Depending on the OS, you may have to confirm a popup window, to include WHQL signatures. It is safe to press YES/OK here.
  3. Now you have the “DirectX Diagnostic Tool” open
  4. Click on “Save All Information…” and save the file at any location convenient (default: Desktop)
The saved file is now available under the location previously chosen.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused and Thank You for playing Star Wars: The Old Republic
