Ok, so I jacked up the fan speed to 4000 rpm and still had the same result, I'd redo the thermal paste, but honestly, I don't think it'll help. CPU never gets above 49C and the GPU never past 59C. I'm bummed because I'm paid through September and I can't play the game. I tried playing my JK and the mobs are dead before my force leap animation catches up with me. Speeders and companions don't render either...

If the temps are low there should be no need to do thermal paste

Yeah, not sure what to do here. I love this game and have played since launch. I am planing on building a machine, but that's way down the road.

I've tried a clean boot. Haven't tried creating a new account. I was going to wipe my windows partition and create a brand new one this weekend as a last resort, but I can't find my copy of windows...

I will try that, but I've been using iObit Advanced SystemCare, which looks like it does the same thing. Worth a shot though.

Ran all the steps last night, no luck. I'm giving up.

I know this is a tired point, but there is really no excuse for a lack of a Mac client.

Did a few more tests and it's definitely the game itself. Running Skyrim I get the same CPU load (around 50-70%) but GPU usage goes way up, in the 90% range and the game looks and plays great. Very frustrating. Like I said, paid through September and can't even play the game on low. You think they'd give me a refund? Ha
