@Drudenfusz what did you do with your code in the end? I have the same issue..
I have redeemed a cartel coin code from Amazon US before but I cannot redeem a code from BestBuy. I have noticed that the code structures are different...

Amazon US (16 digits both letters and numbers)
xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx

BestBuy (10 digits numbers only)
xxx xxx xxxx

Perhaps only the codes from Amazon work internationally the rest do not...

I noticed the difference of how the codes look too. the alphanumerical XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX codes are not only used by aAmazon, the European retailer codes are the same, as are the time cards, my CE code was also once like that (as was the Taun Fawn code or the US GameStop retailer code I got in the past). So, it seems like this pattern is international. I don't get why there is a separate US code pattern that prevents people from getting those pets. I mean is BioWare trying to make less money than they could? So, I did nothing with the BestBuy code I have.

Could always call billing and get them to exchange the code. They have the authority to do it.
