Well folks yesterday we got a look at the Emperor's Shadow Guard, now lets take a look!
=======

Overview/History

The Emperor's Shadow Guard was an organization of force-sensitives from the remains of the Sun Guard, few Imperials knew the true origins of these powerful and mysterious guardsmen. They took orders only from Palpatine himself, and were sent to eliminate suspected Jedi and other Force Users, they were also put under supervision from Darth Vader when necessary. They demonstrated Force powers of their own, which caused suspision that they were former Jedi that had been captured, tortured and then brainwashed by Palpatine though this was nothing more then a rumor that was never proven.

Regardless they commanded a great deal of respect with the ranks of the Empire, also leading elite Imperial commandos into battle, often calling upon the services of the elite Shadow Stormtroopers.

Near the end of the Clone Wars, Dooku ordered Ventress to eliminate the Sun Guard however several of them were chosen to become Royal Guardsmen and those that were force-sensitive were candidates to become Shadow Guards. The Shadow Guard were used in 17 BBY onboard the Golan space defense platform to serve Inquisitor Valin Draco, during the battle of Byss they fought against a number of resistance fighters, they were also used again in 2 BBY against Galen Marek along with several Imperial Navy Commandos and Shadow Stormtroopers.
==========

Equipment

Their appearance was almost identical to the Royal Guard, except their armor and visor colors were inverted with the full robe and armor black, and visor being red and like the Red Guard armor it provided a great deal of protection. Their primary weapon was a lightsaber pike, in addition they also carried a heavy blaster pistol and a utility belt with a medpac, furthermore they also had a long range comlink, encrypted and miniatrized aswell as holo capability.

Thoughts: Again....just like the Royal Guard, complete ******ery! It rather sucks that there isn't any notable ones to follow, and that they have only appeared in TFU material. Palpatine really does get all the cool ****.

Had I been a force user during Palp's reign, this is where I would of wanted to be. These guys were probably THE highlight of TFU. Too bad you never saw them other than that game.

You do see them appear in art of Book of Sith, which is cool.
I am the Battlemaster of the Jedi Order. I've struck you down once already. Today, I'm finishing the job.
