In my experience, other companions crit as well, the ones with +1/+2 bonus do more but still the mission selection is the most important. If people run Moderate and Abundant Underworld missions, they will NEVER get Beryllius. Not because the crit chance on them is small but because it doesn't exist at all. Only Bountiful and Rich (and Wealthy) missions give Beryllius. Focus on these only, zone in & out of the ship to get as much Bountiful & Rich missions running at once as possible.

I usually get the best return on this stuff but the last few days seem to be in a slump. Not getting much of anything on underworld, investigation and slicing is a joke. Only thing that seems to be working for me is Diplomacy and treasure hunting.

maxxed companion, bonus % companions, still horrible crit %.

what a joke.
The crit % is fine, the problem is the results from a crit. The overwhelming majority of the time a crit generates an armormech glove schematic. They know this is a problem and are working on it.

correct. false crits are a problem.
For every man there is a sentence, a string of words, which has the power to destroy him.

I dunno, in general I wish they hadn't changed the system this much - like what is the point of making abundant and moderate missions essentially useless?
You are so right, I hardly ever use abundant and never moderate unless it's for flux or other crafting mat like that. Completely useless and a waste of credits.

I'm having this same issue with Thermal Regulators. Completely dried up 3 days ago.
