Okei so i dont know if anyone has thought about this but i think that it would be awesome for marauders/sentinels to hold they're lighsabers in different way say like how starkiller did in force unleashed

There should be a customization-choise when you reach lvl 10 where you choose how the char should move, stance and fighting style with sword/weapon.

example: senitel is wearing 2 sabers like in force unleashed. guardian runs with the sword behind etc, etc...

And the Cartel market should have a complete re-customization option for purchase, where you can rebuild your character.

The cartel market should allso have new haristyles, tatoos, bodys, faces, swordstyles etc for purchase.

That would make profit for EA/bioware...

Thx

Or fencing style like Count Dooku, or reverse grip like Ahsoka Tano in the clone wars animations.

Also left / right handedness! For my 2p worth.

-I'd certainly shell out some CCs for that option!

Ugh I hate reverse grip... but it would be nice for options for you guys. I'd like the stances to show different animations. I should look different in Soresu than Shii-Cho or Shien, etc.

This feature could(/should) be implemented to different forms. For example reverse grip to shien form etc. Currently there are no different stands or grips, and only a few strikes that are specific to form.

Reversed grip is a very bad stance for any dueling type of Lightsaber wielder. So both Sentinels and Guardians would not do well with a reverse grip stance. Though I can see Sentinels having a normal grip main hand, reverse grip off-hand stance. This is because the reverse grip is a good option in Niman, the basis of many dual wielding and dual bladed styles. And the basic Form of many Force specialists. So it should be made available to Consulars and Inquisitors for sure!

Thats a very nice idea. I believe STO has a stance selectionin character creation.

Being a nice idea though its unlikely BW will implament it as it isn't selling people stuff already in game in the cartel market.

So I remember from 'Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast' that you have 3 different stances aswell. I can't remember the names exactly, but it seems rather obvious:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Three combat styles to choose from. The first of course, is the Medium Style.

Medium Style - A balance of speed, attack, and defensive power, this is the
stance that most every Jedi uses. Using this style means that you can only
string together a certain amount of combos before you pause.

Fast Style - The first new type you'll learn, fast style involves quick rapid
attacks, with less damage. If you can learn to master it, enemies will be
unable to block most of your attacks.

Heavy Style - This is a behemoth style, which means that your attacks will be
slow in coming, but powerful upon delivery. Your attacks are so slow
however, that an enemy might be able to dodge them. They can't defend
themselves against it, and usually one hit will cause them to die.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is basicly chosen actualy by the way you deal your damage, but I always remember that when switching stances Kyle Katarn was moving his lightsaber in a different way. His attacks looked differently (obviously the speed in which he attacked, but for the Heavy Style I remember he actualy swung the sword above his head to strike hard downwards).
For example, In DCU Online when you are creating your character you have a few 'combat styles' to choose from. This doesn't involve in any damage caused or something, but is cosmetic. You have things like 'Comical', 'Fliryt', 'Serious', 'Powerful' and 'Primal'. It basicly changed the way you're standing around and the cosmetic feature of how you fight. But if you only had such an option to choose from when creating your character (and I guess that counts for all characters mostly) it would make your character feel much more unique. And that is what every MMO-developer wants. For everyone to feel unique with his or her character.

It's going to be hard and I don't think it will ever get implemented, as it will have to be done lots of new animations for it, but it's something nice a lot of players will enjoy.
I got the stuff, if you got the credits. If not, beat it kid!
