You posted the same tracert twice lol, what are the chances each router responds with identical ping times between 2 tests.

Edit - Tracert doesn't look that bad to be honest.

I'd ask for my money back on the VPN service if that 2nd one is your VPN

Now three threads with this alternet issue, agreed it would be nice to get an official opinion, but it seems the customer service staff are looking through all these threads and choosing to answer select threads only.

Before i get flamed like other people in other threads with the 90percent of people are fine, its your problem, its your isp, its your internet blah blah, id like to add i play other online games fine, so its not my internet, and even if there is 1 in 10 of us having this problem meaning the majority are fine and saying that its our problem not bioware's, well thats complete and absolute rubbish, if my Sky TV Dish breaks and i can no longer watch TV, 99percent of other people still have working service and i would expect SKY to fix my problem as i pay for the service so i expect the same from bioware with this as i pay a subscription.

I do not like to post threads from other games but I am going to in this post, ping spikes occur in any online game, feel free to search any mmo.

I just did a 5 second search of 3 top ones and i am sure i will find the same for any MMO.

A lot of things can happen on the internet to cause ping spikes, yes servers is one possibility but it is not the majority cause of most cases.

They need the tracert's and pathpings to fix what they can fix, and as happened in the past approached ISPs and Backbone providers to seek a solution.

VPN services may assist like battleping etc, if one doesn't work another may assist due to different network path.

As to the Alternet packet loss, it maybe causing issues, it may not be, I had one router on my path dropping 97% packets and caused me nil issues in game. ICMP will always be the first packets set to drop due to low priority. - Guild Wars 2 - league of Legends - Wow

I know very little about how information over the interwebz is routed. My understanding is that the has "over sold" their bandwidth and that is why some people have these issues. So perhaps I should complain to comcast? Because they are paying them?? If I understand this correctly, I don't know
