I made a gunslinger instead of playing with my 50 assasin or marauder becasue

-I realized empire has become old "republic" ( republic faction was full of noobs at the release of swtor ) , full of noobs and trash ppl. and loses every single warzone

Then I started a gunslinger and

-I realized how boring is to be a republic player. Empire is cooler , sexier , mysterious , strong , charismatic but being pure good looks retarded. Empire has better class abilities ( visuals ) , better set designs ,, better music on their fleet...

-I realized how boring class a gunslinger is. Sharpshooting is the only proper spec. Saboteur feels incomplete, totaly situational.Aoes are my main attacks but cant spam thermal granade because of its cost. Dirty fighting feels better on a scoundrel / operative but its definately boring on gunslinger. This class has no complexity and fun of an annihilation marauder , madness assasin.

to sum up , Im bored.

Geez, sorry you're not having fun with the GS.

Of my 9 level 50s (4 Imp, 5 Pub), my GS Sabotuers - yes, plural, I have 2 of them - are the most fun to play. But different strokes for different folks.

Do yourself a favor and try another class, there's sure to be one you enjoy more. Don't let a middling experience color your attitude towards the game.
It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

How far along are you with it? With the 2 classes I've worked on so far there's been a period in both of them where I'm second-guessing the decision. Thinking maybe I should've gone with somethin' else. Then I push on with it, gain some new abilities, and start to enjoy them more. The class & spec start to really come together for me.

Could be you've hit a bump like that. Maybe push on or take a break and come back. You may see it differently then.

I tried to go Smuggler.

My only previous Republic character was a Guardian because I really dig the JK storyline (KOTOR 3 basically).

But the Republic is just insipid and hypocritical. The Jedi order are a bunch of self-righteous, arrogant (even though not-on-purpose) and hypocritical douches. The army is filled with either overly-patriotic tools or gone-mad soldiers.

The Empire in the other hand, while they do eat kittens for breakfast, they don't deny it. They live with themselves in a very sincere way. There isn't a veil of hypocrisy over it.

Being with the Republic feels like being one of those American Dreaming housewives on antidepressants.

So, I thought Smugglers were different. I thought it would be about Spice trafficking, being an outlaw and arms dealing. Found out it is about being a mindless tool as well

Try the Trooper, the storyline was actually very good, the game play with them is really good and they are not boring at all. I have the same problem with my Smuggler classes and Agent classes - they are boring to me to play and I can't for the life of me bring myself to play them.

Well... don't play pure good then. Treating the game like a race to light or dark 5 is about the least interesting way you can play it. Give the character wants, needs and goals. Let those things make your choices not whether there's a light or dark marker next to an option. They might end up doing things you don't expect which is a lot of fun. My jedi knight is the most ruthless character I have in the game, which surprised the heck out of me.

To the above poster...the agent story is arguable the best story in the game. You're doing yourself a disservice if you don't give it a try. Also, I'd suggest you try the marksmanship sniper. I usually play melee so I didn't expect to like it, but now it's one of my favorites.

I actually just started a marksmanship sniper and I'm having more fun with it than I had expected.

I'd originally shied away from it when I found out they didn't keep the ability to stealth. I know this was for game ballance, but let's face it, a sniper without stealth is just a rifleman with a slow rate of fire. And I already had a trooper.

But I'm slowly coming to terms with the vulnerability of being not so sneaky and, instead, using cover. And the one to 2 shot kills have me cackling to myself every now and again, so at the very least, I'm having fun.

If you are not having fun, DO SOMETHING ELSE!
"Personally, I play a warlock to set people on fire as they run in fear while I steal their souls. As an added perk, I play an undead warlock so I can eat their brains afterwards. I suppose a better question is, why do people play anything else?" (Unknown WoW forum poster)

As was said before, dont play your Gunslinger all Light side. I've got a Smuggler going Dark side and he's easily one of my favorite dudes to play.

Sounds to me though that you dont enjoy playing the 'stay-still-in-cover-and-shoot' way of playing though. If you prefered something like the Assassin, there's always the mirror Shadow class you could play. That, and the Knight is also a melee class you might enjoy. Dont be bored just because one class isn't to your liking, try them all and see which one you like best. And while it's true that there's an influx of new players from F2P, it was like that at the beginning, where everyone thought they were being a bad*ss by picking the Empire. It took a while, but eventually things evened out when people got bored of being evil and remembered there was a whole different faction to choose from.
