=Cowboi;5763635]Server: Red Eclipse
Character: Tadanch (sometimes others)
Frequency / Information: On final cut scene of Esseles FP, when talking to Frist Officer Haken game crashes back to windows (4 times so far repeatable), evil option taken on previous scene with Asara. Game did not crash at this point yesterday with different character, Good option taken with Asara.
Finally someone had the same problem as me... but you explain better... did you finish the fp without crashes if you choose dark side in it?
I been only on light side inte this fp and it crash to window....

I've had the same problem with Esseles on server: The Progenitor, for more than 2, maybe 3 months now. Every character I use, have 4 level 50's I HM with, get crashed to Desktop when the last conversation begins and The Esseles fly free from the Imp ship. As it has happend a lot for me I can inform that often other team members get crashed to desktop as well, and if those in team who didn't crash with us, don't finish the conversation, then we crash again when restarting it.
If all team members crash, we re-spawn close to the entrance elevator of the bridge and running towards the end conversation simply end the conversation without starting it, and can then access the nav computer to truly end the FP.

I've been doing a bit more testing and updated my graphis drivers, the game still crashes on last cut scene in Esseles, I've tried running the game in windowed mode and windowed (fullscreen) with no difference.

One thing I have noticed is that it seems to time related in the final cut scene; rather than the option selection, when I did it solo I was able to skip through the cutscenes quickly and got to the 4th chat selection before the game crashed out, rather than having the game crash out on the first chat selection.

NB: so far I've only tried selecting the evil option of leaving Asara behind, but will try the good option today and a different computer to see if either of those make a difference.

Edit

Just tried completing Esseles using good options and the game still crashes straight to desktop in final cutscene. Logged in on a different computer and was able to hand in the quest with no crashing. Tried repair tool on client on normal PC but no errors were found and game still crashes in final cutscene.

I saw another person post earlier that Windows 8 Fixed there issues...

So on my Alienware M17x that had been crashing randomly could be every 30 seconds to every 2 hours having CTD's ... I Installed Windows 8 ... and sure enough .. today i have had 3 - 5 hours of gameplay no crashes... i will continue to play tonight, but my crashes are indeed gone...

Yet my desktop computer running Windows 7 has never had an issue...

Geforce GTX 570 SLI
2500K Intel Quad Core I5 CPU
8GB DDR3 1600 MHZ Ram
SSD 120GB OCZ Harddrive

Now my alienware which is a older system for sure..

Core 2 Duo 2.8 GHZ
Geforece 260M SLI
8GB DDR3 1333 MHZ
SSD 120GB OCZ Harddrive.. .

This one was crashing.. lots, but now with windows 8 ... Not at all...

Whatever is happening is something to do with the client and hardware communication. Drivers, memory leaks perhaps.. I have heard it all, but if the client was causing memory leaks why does installing windows 8 solve it. to me its so sporadic it doesn't make sense, and i can understand why Bioware has not fixed these issues yet, kinda hard to troubleshoot something that you can only replicate sometimes.

Just tried Esseles on a different character on my main comp and game crashes at final cutscene, note game didn't crash on this character at this point before last patch, although it did crash out sometimes at random points.

On the computer that dosen't crash it also is running windows 8 rather than windows 7; whereas I have windows 7 running on my main PC.

Yep ... i can safely say ... if you cant wait for Bioware to fix the CTD's ... install Windows 8 .. it solved everything for me ...

My computer went from crashing every hour or so to every twenty seconds or less. :[ I'm paying to play this game and I am losing money by this problem.

Name of server: Jedi Covenant

Name of character(s) affected: All of them. (Yaelaun)

Frequency of crashing – how many crashes, how often?: Every few seconds-minutes; it's random.

Any potentially helpful information about crash triggers, what you are doing before a crash, etc: I could just be standing there doing nothing and it happens.

It keeps crashing to my desktop with no warning and no error messages. VERY aggravating.

Thats correct I have Win7.
I completed the task as directed and insured that my GTX 470's are updated.

The problem remains.....I'm up for any additional recommendations
