Has anyone been able to figure out how to use vent or any other Voice Chat programs in Swtor? I don't want to use open mic. I used Vent in WoW, but it will not work in Swtor. Once I launch the game, I can no longer click the hot-key, so I must tab the game down to talk.

Please Help. Not in-game chat.

Perhaps it is your choice of hotkey.

Somethings, like right-mouse-click, TOR won't let anything touch. But it'd have to be a key pretty important to TOR's basic gameplay, or TOR wouldn't stop you.

This is likely the problem. SW:TOR must be run as an admin and thus do does Ventrilo or whatever Voice server you use. Simply right-click and select Run as Administrator to launch it OR you can save yourself a lot of time by right-clicking and going to Properties and under the Compatibility tab check the box for Run as Administrator.

This is what you need to do. Run Ventrilo as administrator by right clicking the vent icon when you open it.
