I have no idea why this started, but it started a few days ago.

When I open the launcher and plug in my details and press "play", the launcher tries to download "Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package".

I'm not even prompted, it just starts to download. Why would my launcher be trying to download this? I don't want it, nor did I ask for it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it's kind of mandatory if you plan to be able to run the game at all.

I have spent 150 for a game and I'm okay with this

Hi,

This Redistributable pack is a stardard part of the install. While you may be able to play the game without it, there is no guarantee that you will not encounter issues later, and we recommend letting this complete.
