What I'm more interested in knowing, is whether I can level up without having to worry about lvl 50 gankers in the starting areas.

I am AMAZED that Trooper won out over BH. Then again, there are more people playing Empire, so it was bound to be a Republic class that got called out on the nerf. lol. Troopers and BH are damn near perfect in every way, it's called easy mode.

The game cannot survive, let alone make a profit and provide new high quality content, without a large player base. Casual players are essential to this 150+ million dollar game. If you do not want to play with casuals, then get used to NOT playing AAA MMO's. You should take your elitist attitude else where.
