Is the textures trick only for nvidia or have people used it on ATI as well?

So I have done all the fixes and I still have very high CPU and memory uses. Any other ideas to try guys?

Ok so what settings in the CCC do you use and what settings in game? I think I am running medium settings in game, so not sure how that converts to this thread.. since everyone said "Low and High"

Memory issue seems to be with planet changing/zoning, memory load will creep up the more you planet change. So seems like the game isn't properly releasing memory when swapping zones.

So, what is your point ?

I have a 32 bit fraken system (Windows XP) and a graphic card that cannot be upgraded (laptop). Not to mention that my RAM overload issue have NOTHING to do with PVP or loading other players. I have no major issue in Warzones for example. It occurred even when there were only 8 Republic players on Alderaan.

As someone just said above, it is related to graphic memory not being emptied or swapped when moving from one region to another.

In two specific cases, my RAM gains an extra 1.4 GB and overloads my maximum RAM (3.7 GB).

a) Alderaan, Juran Mountains
b) in a blizzard at the top of a Hoth mountain: it seemed like the blizzard effects triggered it.

Even after I close the game properly and wait a long time, about 1.2 GB stays stuck in the pagefile.

I gave up. I mean TOR finally gave me a reason to buy 8 GB ram.

I mean 4GB was fine and dandy.. till the day I played TOR. So I guess memory makers should pay TOR.. I mean 4GB fills up to 90%+ easily with only a browser open, maybe a chat, xfire going, plus steam. Kinda harder to multitask then. So 8 GB ram... should ease up everything, video gfx, room to multitask etc.
