Commando Crafting Profession?

I am a new player currently a Commando/Combat Medic.

I am looking to start crafting I have Investigation at 48 and Scavenging at 131..

What crafting skill should I take?

Biochem? I have Synthweaving at 1 currently..

Any but Synthweaving that Jedi/Sith armour.

Based on your gathering/mission skills I say you want Armstech (that uses mats from both of your listed skills).

BTW read the Codex crew skill section.

Those two would go really well with Armormech, and Armormech is a good skill for a commando anyway

That'd be fine too, but while investigation supports all crafting skills, it supports Armormech more than the others.

No no no Armourmech is Underworld Trading not investigation.

Also if your a healer Biochem next to useless anyway.

Not so. Create your own medpacks and use them on yourself so you don't have to stop support dps or healing your companion during solo missions, or keep the tank targeted for healing instead of having to switch to heal yourself during grouping. Create your own stims or adrenals as an extra boost of presence or aim is always useful.

Biochem is also one of the few viable endgame craftings skills.
