guildofpanhead
I'm looking to buy a computer that will play swtor on high settings. I don't have any lofty goals of the ultimate gaming machine, just something I can use to watch Netflix, surf the web, and play the crap out of swtor. Everyone is telling me that I should build but lets be honest, I'm lazy and this is a lot of work to figure everything out. One forum suggested that I look on ebay so I did and found these. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=111142878098&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123 http://www.ebay.com/itm/VIPER-AMD-CORE-CUSTOM-BUILT-GAMING-COMPUTER-PC-3-6GHZ-4GB-WIN-7-GFORCE-VIDEO-/121166591561?pt=Desktop_PCs&hash=item1c36177649 I emailed the seller and he said he could upgrade the first card to a GT 640 and it would play swtor on high settings. theonetruebleed
Don't buy a PC on ebay, you have no recourse and no cover if something goes wrong.
Tsillah
Don't like either one. The reason is that both have old stuff in them. It will be enough to run the game but even with the 640 card I wouldn't expect too much from it. I understand there's always a budget issue but I'd rather save more money and get something decent than either of these. He dares calling them fast gaming computers and that's a laugh really. These are not gaming graphics cards and the processors are ok but kinda outdated. You'd be much better of with an i5 Intel processor, a GTX graphics card and 8GB RAM, preferably DDR5. That's just my opinion The hard disc is ridiculously small with 160 GB. It's your money but I wouldn't buy these myself. And yeh I wouldn't get one off ebay either. Rafaman
Pretty good advice given. I would stay away from Ebay for something like this. It may be cheaper but in the long run you may pay for it on the back end. The systems aren't great. Most configs now days can "run" TOR at its highest settings. That doesn't mean things will be running smoothly. Besides, think of the future and the games after TOR. Will they runn smoothly as well?

Thoughts? The second linked computer will run the game on High/ultra if you switch out on the GPU.Also NEVER buy things like PC's on Ebay...The person who recommended Ebay to you must have been trolling...There are other site with Better PC's and specialize in them instead of some crappy un-trustable Ebay... To give a head up of what runs this game on ultra Intel core duo with atleast 3.0 GHz ( Around the same for AMD ) 4 GB RAM DDR3 AMD Radeon HD 7750 is what i use,but im pretty sure teh 6000 series can run this game on ultra too Good luck EDIT : That 160 GB HDD is a complete joke... After installing the gaem you will have about 130 GB HDD left...The PC will be slow as ****. ''Fast-gaming PC''.... guildofpanhead
Thank you all for the great advice! I'll stay away from ebay. I found a pc on amazon with a 3.4 GHz A Series Quad Core A10 5700 and intergrated AMD Radeon HD 7660D. Good price for my limited needs. I know its important to consider the future, but I'm not a huge gamer and swtor is my first mmo. I have looked at newegg, very overwhelming. http://www.amazon.com/Asus-CM1745-US006S-ASUS-Desktop-Black/dp/B009PHWI2W/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1388113751&sr=1-
