Depends what "stuff" you're referring to, and who you want to use it for. I find that for making creds, artifice is in a better place right now than it was pre-3.0; besides the enhancements & hilts, the relics are now quite good, and there are also dyes. If you're just crafting for yourself (assuming a force-using character) then I think artifice is a decent choice, as it will certainly be cheaper to craft the enhancements/hilts/relics you want yourself rather than buy them. As somebody who makes millions per week from Artifice and barely runs other crafters once a week because they can't even hope to keep up, I suggest that you skip Artifice and just buy from the GTN.
