Sarfux
Why do those who go "OMG WOW KILLER!!" care so much about "killing" wow? What's the big deal? Do they feel like it haunts them that they even have a thought about "killing" wow and actually do want to play it, but they promised to themselves at one point they wouldn't? Help me understand this whole thing about "killing wow" part of mmos. Even when a company doesn't even half to say ANYTHING about it wow, whether it be TOR, or lotro, or silkroad, or runescape....why do people have this...fascination of "destroying" wow? Just let people play what they want to play guys. Be glad there are varieties of mmos out there that you can try out. There are TONS of mmos. If you don't like one, don't go bashing around on others or say "omg! wow killer" Frankly..who gives a rat's butt if there is never a wow killer. Why are people so on this train about labeling EVERY MMO now a "wow killer"
DorkTrooper
The only place I've seen the term "WOW killer" is in blogs of various quality. Personally not concerned with how WOW does, good or bad, as I don't play there.
Metaspark
it doesn't matter what your product is, being able to say you outdid the at the time "best" product in the field is a very good feeling
Sarfux
it doesn't matter what your product is, being able to say you outdid the at the time "best" product in the field is a very good feeling if it does...it does. If it doesn't...it doesn't. People shouldn't be wanting for something to fail JUST BECAUSE they want the feeling of saying "I TOLD YOU SOOOOO!" Ronamo
it doesn't matter what your product is, being able to say you outdid the at the time "best" product in the field is a very good feeling Fair enough. But it isn't our (the playerbase's) product. It's EA / Bioware's. Edited March 2, 2012 by Ronamo
Metaspark
Fair enough. But it isn't our (the playerbase's) product. It's EA / Bioware's. true, but that only makes it worse it's the people running around claiming the next game will be the "WoW-killer" quick trivia, what kills a game faster than anything else? answer: the pre-release community that overhypes the hell out of it. when it releases and lets them all down because they expected way more out of it than there could be on release, they don't give it nearly enough to actually become a WoW-killer Edited March 2, 2012 by Metaspark
