I've played MMO's that have raids drop gear only for healers(that are worth using), or drop no gear for healers at all(that are worth using). Makes it tough for both types. I think the idea that you're even guaranteed a piece of loot, no matter the class its for, is a major upgrade and a big reason why people feel there's no 'carrot on the stick' and 'gear is attained too easily'.
