I love seeing stuff from sci-fi and space fantasy movies in real life, anyone have any other cool examples of Star Wars tech we have in our world today? And the more important question, will there ever be moisture farms on earth with young, heroic, idealistic farmboys yearning to fight a corrupt empire one day? **Disclaimer**- yeah I know they dont work exactly the same but its the idea that counts. I do recall seeing some news stories about lightsabers being possible in the future, but I think that would be too dangerous. Anyway, I think a moisture vaporator would be a very useful tool. I love to see sci-fi tech being developed in the real world. Next thing you know, we'll be seeing plasma based weapons and hovering vehicles.
