Rion_Starkiller
My prog group beat the old "Hardmare" version of Tyth in 248's. How tough is NiM Tyth in comparison, assuming full 258's? Just curious. I doubt he's a pushover like Nefra, but I'd like to know where he ranks compared to other first NiM bosses.
srtaskyywalker
So the old Hardmare Tyth was totally killable in 242 gear and you pretty much didn't even had to worry about enrage since that was a 4 mins fight (around that, enrage is the same as NiM or used to be). The fight was more about executing mechanics and not dying to inversion. Tyth NiM is doable in 248 gear (my team were wearing 248 gear when we did it, and I'm pretty sure Tyth is supposedly to be tuned for 248 gear). NiM Tyth is a long fight, around 7 minutes (high chance of hitting enrage) and requires more execution and optimizing dps on the boss/adds. I feel like comparing difficulties, NiM Tyth is a lot harder than Hardmare Tyth when it came out due requiring better execution and more dps. Maxitrac
I’d say that tyth is the hardest first boss this game has to offer, tyth is prob harder than sisters due to the fact that you kind of need to fight desync and rng for a clean kill. Rion_Starkiller
Thanks for the input guys. I had forgotten about Tyth's add RNG, Max. Ugh Now that our group is in 258's plus guild perks, HM is rather easy. I think MattP said somewhere that Tyth NiM is tuned for 248's that's why I was hoping that with 258's, he might be within our skill range. I think generally the gearing recommendations isn't something that people should focus that much on, Tyth is tuned for 248 but the demands for mechanical execution are far more important than if you have 248 or 258. Naturally, having full 258 on your raid members will give you an edge and help cover up for minor mistakes, but in the end gear wont "carry" you as it would on other bosses.
