Yes.

 

There's no death penalty other than dirt cheap repairs (not so cheap at 50 endgame though, but meh), so don't sweat other players/dying.

 

In fact, protip: Suicide travel speeds up leveling a ton. (when your about halfway to where you want to go get into combat and /stuck, you'll go to nearest medcenter, and just about every outpost/city/base/far away quest areas has one)
