What to do with bound gear you don't use anymore? I have several 208 and 216 bound items that I don't use anymore due to getting higher rating gear. What do people typically do with this type of gear since you can't sell it on gtn?

If it's "mod-able" gear - that is, it has armoring, mod, enhancement, etc - rip the mods out and put them in a piece of Legacy gear so you can transfer the mods to another character. Even if you don't have another character now, you might make one later.

 

Sell them to a vendor.

 

If you can't sell them, even to a vendor, drag them out of you inventory, and drop them on the ground. (To trash them)

 

You can also, of course, use them on a companion, or in an "outfit" for yourself, if you like the looks.

 

For me, personally, I tend to keep a lot of it, if I like the "looks", in case I might want to change my character's "look" sometime. Of course, in order to do that I have my Inventory slots, Cargo bays, and Legacy bank tabs maxed.

Basically echoing what was said by JediQuaker - but for myself I just vendor everything I dont need. Its just a bit of a hassel to rip mods out for alts (and can be expensive too). If its not something that I care to keep around for dress-up, it meets the vendor.
