Need some advise on a project

Star Wars Celebration is next year and I plan on attending, or trying to anyway, but I'm currently stuck on something..

I want to make a custom made Sith Holocron that is a size 10 x 10, however I am stuck on how to even begin.

Any advise?

I'd guess you mean 10 x 10 x 10 inches(1), because ten centimetres is a bit small, and almost any other unit I can imagine would be ridiculously small (millimetres) or ridiculously large (feet, miles, parsecs). A ten inch cube suggests reasonably heavy card, the sort that artists use. Get it in white rather than black, though.

Alternatively, look through an art supplies / craft store (of the type that specialises in crafty rather than arty things, in the style of the UK chain "Hobbycraft" or the French chain "Cultura") and you may find ready-assembled blank cubes in the size you want, and if so, you can avoid the pain of constructing the cube out of card.

Once you've assembled the cube, get some nice acrylic(2) paints in the colours you want. Keep an eye out for metallics and stick with a colour set that looks, well, Sithy. (Black, purplish off-white, orange, red, purple, gold or bronze metallics, that sort of thing.)

Be sure to let the top and sides dry fully before painting the bottom. And don't forget to paint all six surfaces!

(1) Extra "x 10" because you want a cube, not a flat square.

(2) Acrylics are water-based so they don't give off noxious fumes, which means that you don't need any special ventilation precautions while you're using them, and they are reasonably tough once they are fully dried. They will also be available in a decent range of colours, and they will also be reasonably light-fast. (That is, they won't fade if left in bright light too long. Inks are notorious for fading, so you absolutely should not use black markers, or you'll find that those areas will, over time, become a sort of murky dark green colour on surfaces that have been left exposed especially to sunlight.)
