Hi all.

 

I'm a person who in his free time while waiting for warzones and playing likes to jump on top of things.

I like to test the game's boundaries and wonder if they purposely intended this to be done.

As a result of this I've gotten in tons of fun spots people whisper me about how the **** I got there.

 

In light of this, I am not very rich in the game since I mainly pvp and i run Biochem/Synthweaving so dont bring in the cash, but I give away cash sometimes to random passerby's or in general chat on the fleet to challenge people getting up to where I am. Usual amounts are 50-100k.

95% gives up after a minute or two.

Now I ask of you. Are there any more people like me out there?

If so, do you have some challenges for me? I would LOVE to try them out.

All this jumping has made me a master of datacrons, a master of jumping and positioning. It feels like everythings either too easy, or impossible now..

wow nice spots

Got to the peak way above the bunker after the dam on Alderaan a couple times, nice view from up there. I also like to try to get to those places that I was never intended to go. Guess I need to start a photobucket account and post that one. I have literally seen, and even once twice fallen off of, the end of pretty much every planet.

 

I also got way the hell up on some ledge that I'm sure I wasn't supposed to be on in Nar Shadaa once and then couldn't get down... of course I forgot to screeny it. I always forget that when I find a cool place because I'm usually just so in awe of the view and the fact that I got there in the first place.

 

On tython I found and played around a bit in a whole big open plane with grass and trees on the other side of a rock cliff once. It was actually pretty huge with an ocean view, the only way out was to jump off the cliff commit suicide or instant travel. Wish I could find that again.

 

My ultimate goal is try to get to the village overlooking Smuggler's Den and ride on the balloon that runs east to west on the north end of Tatooine.

 

P.S. BW needs to kill the cooldown on the /stuck ability... that is super annoying.

The only one that is very easy to get to, is the BH in the bunker (at least imp-side).

A juggernaut can easily interced up, sometimes I have to to complete the spy-daily.

You've gotten to some neat spots!

I really enjoy doing the same thing - playing the "can I get up there?" game.

 

Somewhere really fun to do it is on the Alderaan/Hoth mountains.

 

There's also some spots on Tython where you can accidentally jump over the mountains to the edge of the.. um.. planet.

obviously interceding is never allowed. the point is to get up there yourself. using the little cranks that are in the game.

Some of the best jumping stories I have heard from have been when people work in a team of 2. One player has a knockbock, and the other a leap.

With some very careful jumping and aiming, you can get places specifically designed so you aren't supposed to be able to jmup high enough to get one them

I thought this was going to be about base jumping.

 

That's one thing I miss from WoW is being able to jump from high heights and survive either through insta cast flight form or parachutes etc.

 

Could have a similar thing in SWTOR. Grappling hooks are canon in the movies. And Rocket packs. No reason this couldn't be expanded to things like rocket boots, or tech parachutes, etc.

Oh it really grinds my gears when that happens because the only way out is usually to instant travel out. 95% of the time /stuck just drops you somewhere else inside the terrain. Still, at least it's rare enough that it's not a big deal and pretty darn cool in side of there.

 

There should be like codexes for some of these places that takes you hours to get to even if you know how to, and then like a title when you collect so many.

Some nice locations, as for the BH one (imp side) I thought it was sometimes mandatory to get up there for scanning the spy? I usually go up there to check him since scanning below never seems to work. Pipework at the side gets you up pretty easy

 

As for Alderaan, I've randomly fell through that map countless times when levelling alts but not so much any other planet.

I think you could really get some interesting places if you worked with another partner

The bridges over the valley in kortiban. Takes 2 specific classes to reach them. Will try to grab pics with my guild next time.

Ie, Need a sorc with pull and a warrior (push), or agent knock back.
