While Verpine and Black Market earpieces are not re-abble, Arkanian and Underworld earpieces can be learned for schematics. Proof While I'm unsure if you can get that exact earpiece you posted, I know you can at least learn the schematics. I'll work on getting some Unassembled Arkanian Earpieces and get back to you if that particular variant, tanking earpiece with a Redoubt prefix, is actually possible. Underworld seems not to be meant to be reverse-engineered as you can see at that "null" material. And regarding defense rating doesn't have anything to do with "null" material. A guild mate of mine was able to learn an Arkanian Ear but it greys out when he tried to RE that for the variant. Does he first have to equip it before he can RE for the variant?
