I snipped this section out of my guide for RP'ers to use.

 

All emotes can be accessed in game by clicking on the little waving man icon in the chat panel on the top left

 

NOTE: All emotes in orange have animations

 

You can use /e or /emote to create your custom emotes:

 

/e stares off into the distance would appear as Goshee stares off into the distance

You couldn't sit down in chairs during beta, speech bubbles were also not present.

 

Although all these issues were raised and demanded in the old forums ^^

 

Can't say whether they have been added or not now, but I hope they will do!

I do recall some wizards and elves at Reddit found a .ini file you could toggle Speech bubbles on with... But the actual option in game wasn't present

Hmm...ohh forgot to say this but you could sit in every single chair on your ship when you clicked on them, that was how it was on the Bounty hunters ship at least

One question dose any of the emote have voice and if so.

I just hope the /healme don't ever makes the guy say heal me.

and so on whit emotion the ones in wow was plain and dull yes it was no question about what they was saying but it was so emotionless that I barely used them.

Emotes don't have any voice acting as far as I'm aware but it would be a great feature Especially when people are in combat and can't check the chat panel!

Based on things I saw in Beta, I'm confident that they're working on some of the emotes still, It's just not likely to be a focus for them for a while yet.

As pointed out, the only chairs you can sit in right now are the ones in your ship.

 

Chat Bubbles are not in at this time (no the changes to the ini file do NOT work). GZ Stated that these are a high priority for after launch.

 

Not sure about lie down, I think it works like the one in WoW, will check when I am back on later tonight.

It might help to add a second colour denoting what emotes use a duplicate animation (like how some of the tactical animations are basically just the "point" animation)

If you're targeting someone, it says "You called so-and-so a nerfherder!" and you make this shoving motion at them as if trying to get cattle to walk.

 

Wish they would add a custom emote. Would make RP so much easier.

Yeah, I think a lot of the emotes need working on. Looks silly when you perform an action and nothing happens lol!

Custom emote ? you mean like in WoW ? for example: /e chuckles calmly as he pulls out a pack of cigarettes.

 

That is in the game, it works the same way as it does in WoW.

Other than the chairs on the bridge/command center, there is one chair in my freighter that I can sit on.

 

Like the others, I can't lie down on my bed. I'd love to be able to lie down in a couple of ways: On my side or back for sleeping, and kind of lounging if I want to read in bed. Yes, that's asking a lot, but I'd settle for sleeping.
