Obroan Armor

These armor sets are starting to look less and less like Star Wars and more like generic sci-fi horror/anime getups. This is BioWare and they did create KOTOR..., it's like they've forgotten what a sith lord looks like. And what's with every new set having to be some kind of weird helmet for Inquisitors. How about some more masks that can fit under a hood? I'm figuring that they haven't really gotten around to the BH's, Troopers, Smugglers or Agents cause most of those look like variants of their intentions for Sith Gear. So I hope to see what they're planning soon for that. But seriously BioWare, return to your roots. Find the artistic inspiration that brought us Darth Sion, Darth Nihlus, Darth Revan, Darth Maluk, Master Atris, etc. These characters were great artistic expressions of Sith, and in Atris' case, a jedi master. I'm pretty sure that's what we want as a player base. Not some sort of half
baked Gundam/Hellraiser garbage.

Well, I'd say that they are certainly quite Sci-fi ... Looks like the designers are taking their cues from Dune these days.

Can't say I like them or will use them .... but I've never liked or used PvP armour so there's no change there. I always strip the mods as soon as I get it.

My only complaint is the lack of variation .. three colours across all lines and they all look pretty much the same. Plus reskins for imp and rep does seem lazy. But if you don't like, them don't use them. I won't.

I for one like these a lot. Almost enough to want to start PVP'ing just to get me one of these.

Oh, and by the way, are these dyeable?

With each new patch you think they can't design worse looking gear but somehow they manage to outdo themselves. Once again, BioWare raises the bar or should I say lowers the bar in appalling gear design. Funny how the cartel market has good looking gear but these look like something designed by Stella McCartney after being drunk for 2 weeks.

Also the name is meh. You gave us Centurion, Champion, Battlemaster, Tionesse, Columi, Rakata, War Hero, Elite War Hero, Black Hole, Campaign, Dreadguard, Partisan, Conqueror, Black-Market, Arkanian, Porcupine, Underworld and Kell Dragon. Now we end up with this Ogrrubob gear name? Really? PVP Gear should have nice name like in the past. Battlemaster and Conqueror were nice names for gear. Why not follow your pattern and rename this to Elite Conqueror or Manhunter Gear or something more interesting? Not the first time you name gear after achievements you created in game. Something PVP related, fearful, etc.

Talk about seeing what you want to see to defend your own biased position ....

The Consular set is identical to the Inquisitor set, just a different colour.
The Trooper set is identical to the Bounty Hunter set, just a different colour.
The Smuggler set is identical to the Agent set, just a different colour.
The Knight set very similar to the Warrior set, just with hooded robe, different mask and shoulder pads removed.
The Warrior shares the same shoulderpads as the Bounty Hunter.

All of the sets look like they are built from the same generic building blocks with a few silly adornments and ornamentations stuck on for good measure. None of it looks like Star Wars themed gear, it is highly generic and uninspired.

I could go on, but you get the point.

How is this NOT lazy design? CTRL-C CTRL-V design at its worst.

Hold on a sec, didn't they say we're getting two tiers? Hopefuly they're going to be two different looking armor sets like with the last stuff before kell dragon. Please thank me for a victorious five-year fight for traditional Jedi robes in SWTOR.

i think everyone is still confused that the cosmetics are all placeholders.

that said, they look different enough that they were designed this way.... so if they're not for the armor we get on live, what were they for?
i hope they don't just slap on some color changes and call it a day when they release this stuff.

That armor belongs at the most as reputation armor not this!!!!
just to be clear, you're saying you actually liked that? if so, sorry. nope. you've lost all credibility to be speaking of how gear should look. take your buttflaps elsewhere.

my god people complain more. its called variety, if you want your trooper to look like its from the clone wars wear that armor, if you want it to look like the rakata trooper wear that if you want to be shirt less with a cowboy hat and a mini skirt for your trooper wear that...

the days of every one in a class looking the exact same like at launch are over, if you don't like any new gear then make a post thanking the devs for adding adaptive armor and the mod system so you can wear any gear in the game that you want, and thank the devs that there are a huge amount of armor skins and everything from traditional looks to crazy sci-fi looks to sexy ridiculous looks instead of being typical internet ******s and complain about every *********** little thing and act like the devs are morons
