Launcher will fire up I hit play. Game will pull up the loading screen and just before it goes to my character select screen my computer restarts. Computer boots up and pulls up the option to start windows in safe mode.

This has been going on for about a month usually just once and I could get in. Today it crashed to desktop right at the end of black talon and I haven't been able to get back in since.

Ive checked the ini file. Checked the windows reliability just shows windows unexpectedly closed. No crash log in the SWTOR file. I have updated every driver I can find. I uninstalled and downloaded the game again even put it on a different drive. Ram tests all showed good. Not overheating.

Star craft 2, skyrim, far cry 3, even guild wars 2 (bleh) will load and play just fine. SWTOR is the only program I can get to do it. Im stumped.

Greetings retla,

Could you please go to www.swtor.com/download, download the latest launcher setup file and run it over the current installation? After this please run the repair function on the launcher. To run the repair, please log in on the launcher, select the cog shaped icon and then the repair function.

Please come back to us with your full DxDiag if the issue remains after this.

Thank you!

Launcher works fine the game loads. The launcher log shows the game loading and then the launcher closing itself. Did the repair. Did a fresh install of the game today 5 hours of my life I wont get back lol.

Did what I really didn't want to do. reformatted my hard drive and did a fresh install of windows all updates applied and the exact same problem. Heres a launcher log to add to the fun.

Spoiler

Any feedback would be appreciated. Even a "hell if I know"

The launcher is meant to close at the point you have in the log, what isn't occurring is that swtor.exe is meant to load and the game runs.

Launcher is fine 100% need to work out why game isn't starting and when it tries the comp reboots

This is normally either a driver conflict or a hardware error.

I knew the launcher was fine just added the log to paint a fuller picture. The game does launch I get the videos I get the loading screen think it was post number 2 I posted a log of it connecting but as it gets to the character stuff. Restart.

Ive loaded every game I have trying to duplicate the restart. Ran as many programs at a time as I could trying to make it crash. Driver conflicts usually don't just appear. Only one I really made an effort to keep up was the video drivers and ive rolled them back to see if it changed anything. I tried updating every driver in my computer same result. Restart just before character screen loads.

After I reloaded windows I attempted to log in same thing. Added updates up to the service pack. attempted to log in. same restart same place.

As for hardware the loads I was putting on it should of caused it to fail.

That's basically where it fails at that point. A restart with no error message I can find. So frustrating. Thanks for the reply
