Alright well I just started experiencing this bug and frankly it's extremely annoying. Hopefully I filled this in the correct spot, but then again SWTOR Forums doesn't have a bug/report section. So with that said I'll walk over someone thats shackled and it can sometimes have a 5 to 3 second delay before they're unshackled this gets especially annoying once the rocket thrusters are nearly about to go off. They too experience the same issue so it's either server lag or the flashpoint being bugged. I don't know how many times me and my group died from unfairness. I've sure learned my lesson on this flashpoint. Honest to truth take my advice and leave the flashpoint and requeue for a different one until its sorted out. Unless of course you like paying 15-30k in repairs.

need to put a ingame ticket in (there is a option of bug report) The more details the better. Sounds like the lag we are all having, but they are saying it is our isp or our computers. The timing of these spikes are near perfect to kill off a group. Until they decide to stop blaming everything else and face the truth of their servers or server host, (maybe even how the game engine handles the lag) you play it extra safe and move early. We keep RDPS near middle, and no one hugs the wall or they are toast.

Today's patch fixed a bug with HM and shackles. I can't tell for sure if it's what you're describing, but the note is:
  • Bounty Hunters using Hydraulic Overrides and Troopers using Hold the Line are now able to free players from General Ortol's Magnetic Shackles.
Please post in this thread if you find that the issue you were having persist! Thanks.

Hello,
I am in Cademimu HM now and we cant remove shackles. Its not server lag. I used guardian leap and nothing happend, last week it worked perfectly, standing on the person with shackles isnt working, running over him isnt working either. Only thing that helps is to use our own stun removing skill, which has about 2 mins cooldown.
Ventrasi, sniper ... The Judges
Merris, guardian ... Spark of Insanity
Red Eclipse

Confirmed that running over people doesn't always remove shackles since patch 2.0.1

It is not fixed, still does not break shackles on other people and even if you click it off you can't break them.

Yes, This is a real bug. The flashpoint is now impossible to beat unless you have talents that can break ccs early. It seems to bug out when the boss is around 50-% Hp. EAware QA at its finest. They fix a small UI bug thinking it was a big deal but leave this in? LOL
Took my group 5 tries before we finally killed him. We got lucky and he started not to shackle as much as he did the previous times.

That fix probably caused the issue we're seeing but it's not the same. I just got out of a group that managed to successfully complete the Hard Mode Flash Point. What we're seeing is that the shackles will not break through any interaction of the characters, you can stand on, run through or even dance on top of the affected person. That person will only be able to remove their shackles using a move that removes movement impairing effects, in other words a skill capable of removing the shackles.

I do not know if this is true, but what worked for us is staying spread out. It seemed that the shackles started to bug when they were hitting multiple people simultaneously (for those who didn't know, the shackle move is AOE). It seemed, and we may have (I stress) just gotten lucky with the breaks on the last run, but we managed to break every shackle normally on that particular fight, which was the only fight where we were careful to maintain our distance (which sucked for the sentinel).

playing SWTOR can be so dissappointing and frusting sometimes

Why the heck don't you check this mechanic when you're tinkering with it, BW?

Broke worse then it was before, not able to unlock others by running through them now. All other forms of cc break seem to work however, self only.

still able to complete, but by sheer luck and well timed cc breaks. Margin of error 90%.
