2.0 Builds & team composition (PvP)

It's way too early to tell but the game appears to be changing (which I'll take as more content and I'm happy about that). There are new abilities that everyone is talking about (phase walk, force barrier) but there are so many new/adjusted abilities, pvp in this game will change.

Just a few that stick out as possible pvp team comp game changers:
-Hybrids seem ("seem") to have gone out the door. (for instance unstoppable is stance bound). Quick look seems to take sin/shadow hybrids out of the running.
-Full jugg tank looks epic.
-If the damage increase on lightning sorc is what they say it is, it could have the highest sustained dps in game. (full tank jugg + full lightning sorc looks like an epic duo)
-Lethality operative looks to be operating with a simple double cull every 10 seconds (and if you've played leth oper before this really means 3 EASY culls in a row).
-Obliterate can be used while immobilized.
-Merc healer has been given 2 additional AOE heals (one is a HoT)
-Oper heals have been given another HoT
-Deathfield hits 5 targets now (and damage can be increased by 15%)

Hopefully enough changes that we will see more interesting mixes in WZs. Strategies will change. 3 or 4 well timed deathfields from a couple full madness spec sins/sorcs will put an entire team in a deficit.

Anyway. I'm excited for these changes and interested to see which ones make it out of the test server.

My question to all fellow pvp folks.
-Do you see yourselves changing your team comp? Obvious answer is yes (bye bye bubble sorcs). The real question is, what route do you think you'll be taking? Will merc healers get a chance? Are there new options for DPS?

It's really hard to make any assumptions right now seeing as people just want to exploit and ruin any kind of testing for everyone, espectially the pvp aspect. I see the skills are all reworked, implementing pve parts may be useable again in pvp, ect but it's just too early to tell honestly.

I know what you're saying. Getting hit for 70,000-90,000k some how ruins the experience...

The only way to test anything now is in duels vs people you know. That or on a combat dummy. I was hitting 5.6k with thundering blast and near 8k with the new double proc.

We should create a The Bastion guild and group vs group in outlaws den for testing.

Yeah the idea of group v group is pretty cool. Hopefully they patch it really soon so this exploit is gone. But yeah if sorc/sage dps is viable in 2.0 I wouldn't mind rolling one.

at the current build in 2.0 ranged is the way to go, snipers, sorcs, and even mercs so we will see a lot more comps revolving around that as long as it will be the same as it is now in the live build

Well since PT's are even more amazing. I'd say 2PT/carn mara/sniper, with 2 operative healers and a PT tank/assassin
