I noticed each of the classes in order to finish chapter one had to go to these planets:

-Taris
-Tatooine
-Alderaan
-Nar Shadaa

These are in addition to the starting planet and the capital planet.

Which planets are required to finish chapter 2?

It differs for the 2 factions. But I think it is Balmorra, Quesh and Hoth for the Republic and then to a special location for the final part (Imps are Taris, Quesh and Hoth).

Seems so much shorter than chapter one. I heard there's three chapters. That would leave a lot of planets available for the last act.

Chapter 1 is longer than the other 2 chapters, primarily because people include the capital planet and the starting planet (which technically is prologue) as part of the chapter.

I'll tell you this though - BioWare saved the best planets for the last.

Yeah I really liked Voss quite a bit so I can see what you're saying. Any one know the planets required for chapter 3?

Chapter 1
  • Taris / Balmorra
  • Nar Shaddaa
  • <intermission>
  • Tatooine
  • Alderaan
  • <finale>

Chapter 2
  • Balmorra / Taris
  • <Quesh intermission>
  • Hoth
  • <finale>

Chapter 3
  • Belsavis
  • Voss
  • <intermission>
  • Corellia
  • <finale>

Intermissions and finales take place anywhere and everywhere, depending on where your story it taking you. I kind of count Quesh as an intermission, since everyone only has one story mission there, although the planet quests can take a few hours.

I finished Quesh in no time, so I agree its like an intermission.

Voss is a pain in the butt, but its fun none the less. As well as Hoth and Tat. Two of my favorites. Alderaan grew on me when I went back for the bonus series.

I feel the same way about Alderaan. At first I was just excited to be on a planet that had a good balance of environments and then I was like... ugh these house Politics just seem like stalemates. But the bonus series was a real winner. In fact in general I find I like the bonus series a lot better especially Nar Shadaa.
