Level 50 Companion Specific Gear?

I was looking for gear to get my companions and I found information on various websites about companion specific item sets for every companion.

I know the weapons are available from completing Open Communications on Belsavis (I'm Republic, so I don't know what the quest is for Empire characters). Where are the rest of the pieces found?

I haven't actually gotten a chance to do Open Communications yet, because I play late at night and no one ever wants to do it, so I don't know if these are also found doing the same mission or not.

I do not understand what you mean by companion specific items. The only companion specific items are weapons: Techblades and Techstaffs, and gear with odd stats like Pistols with Aim for the Republic and Pistols with Cunning for the Empire.

It is generally easier to gear out the companions that can wear your hand-me-downs, if not, you'll probably have to use your Tionese/Columi tokens on them.

He's talking about armor that says:

"Requires Doc" for instance. Same as the level 50 Orange Weapon you get on Belsavis for them.

Specifically, I'm looking for this stuff:
http://www.torhead.com/item/1UxpSIh/...ststorm-jacket
http://www.torhead.com/item/ePs46YT/...va-tech-jacket
http://www.torhead.com/item/9biOV2I/...va-tech-jacket
http://www.torhead.com/item/FbCf3q/t...va-tech-jacket

Each one of those has a full set (gloves, helmet, chest, belt, boots, bracer, pants).

I was also looking up the best droid equipment and found this
http://www.torhead.com/item/dooHCVx/...ype-op-88-core
http://www.torhead.com/item/afe9tHA/...ype-op-89-core

They both seem to have the same stats

Again, a full set is available. I don't know if this stuff is crafted or if it is found in quests, though.

What i find would be nice is if some of the orange armours in game didnt have class restrictions , i find it hard job to get decent looking medium armour for my companions as its all has class restrictions on it, granted for the player and class they are fab , but when trying to dress up your companions then its not fab as they are classless it would seem and are unable to equip the class specific outfits.

Would certainly give more options in gear up companions in looks more pleaseing to the eye.

Would also love t see companion match chest colour feature to as well as hide companion helm as at present majority of head pieces in the game look terrible on companions.

Would be nice to see these features for companions

The green stuff with the pet's name in it comes from quest rewards along the way. I find it better to get orange stuff off the vendors for my pets than to ever bother with the green crap. Sure, the look will probably be different than "intended", but it is easier to keep them updated that way.

Hmm...maybe some of the heroics on Corellia give you this stuff? I can't find any sites that list quest rewards other than experience and credits. Maybe they don't come from repeatable quests at all.

If there isn't any repeatable way to get this stuff, then I guess I'm out of luck. Hopefully there is. I know this isn't the best stuff to give them but I like to collect things and these sets would be cool to have.
