I know you have a thread for current servers, but as you add servers are you going to update it to say "Added (insert day/time/etc. here)? I just want to play on a "fresh" server. They've already said they are going to add servers, that's not the issue, I'm asking to be notified some way when they do go live. This is the question they're avoiding. SneakyErvin Posted December 14, 2011 Share Posted December 14, 2011 I doubt there will be many more servers. I prefer being low level than on a soon to be ghost town server. BW have the right idea, around 100 servers when it starts to give people a chance to fill them. Not all will be full either. Look at it this way. On the 20th every pre-order will be playing, thats over 1mill people, close to maybe 1.5mill or more. Devide that among 100 servers and you get a nice amount of 15k players per server or a bit more/less. Thats not a bad number for completely new servers, thats what they should host with minor or no problems at all. They might have to add a few extra servers, but hopefully not too many like WaR did and have ghost towns in a month. Even if subs drop with 33% after a month there will still be 10k+ players per server if they stick to around 100 servers. And thats acceptable. Only a fraction of people are playing right now, so yes there are low populations. New servers WILL go up as more people are allowed in and on the 20th-26th as people who didn't pre-order buy the game. I'm simply asking if they are going to annouce what servers are "new" so I can change servers when a new one opens up. This is kind of an important issue for many people. For people who want to play on a fresh server, I praise you for having some principles, but its always the case that you have to work harder if you want to stick to some principles. Honestly, there seems to be no new servers needed atm. Because most servers are on average standard. Maybe if demand increases at Dec 20, I don't see a need for more servers.
