This worked for me:

 

Find your CMD program icon. Run as administrator.

 

Type in IPCONFIG, hit enter.

 

Type in IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS, hit enter.

 

Start the SWTOR client again. It will download a small patch, and let you continue as normal.

Did not work. I have been trying to log in for the past 45 minutes or so, just get a red band at the top of the launcher that says "! The login service is currently unavailable. Please visit our forums for the latest updates on the status of this service."

 

It figures that after I finally fix my 20,000 ms latency/disconnect issue something like this would pop up. I'm just glad that I'm not the only one.

Seems kind of redundant to post an update. Still not able to log in after six attempts.

Flushed DNS, didn't fix anything, I've not patched yet, but my net is working at top notch.

At least, coming here, I know that it's not my screwy satellite internet. :D
