I did not recieve my daily space combat mission today, and one or more of the missions dissappeared from my log over the weekend. Did this happen to anyone else? I thought this was fixed in the last patch??? If a dev could please respond to let us know if this is still not fixed it would be much appreciated.

Hello everyone,

We’ve investigated your reports and wanted to let you know that Space Combat Missions are working as designed. However, the patch notes for 1.6.3 were not fully correct, and we understand that this may have caused some confusion. These have now been updated for clarification, and we apologize for the mistake.

With Patch 1.6.3, all Space Combat Daily Missions were moved to be available 12 hours later. They will now reset each day at 6AM CST (4AM PST/7AM EST/12PM GMT/1PM CET/11PM AEDT), rather than at 6PM CST the day before. This includes the new missions, of which there are 6, and they are available as follows:

  • Tuesday - Far Cradle Strike (Imp) / Regnant Station (Rep)
  • Wednesday - Kabal Station Defense (Imp) / Ardis Outpost Fortification (Rep)
  • Thursday - Kanz Minefield (Imp) / New Covar Ice Field (Rep)
  • Friday - Duma Strike (Imp) / Baros Ambush (Rep)
  • Saturday - Cha Raaba Assault (Imp) / Thanium Disruption (Rep)
  • Sunday - Operation Foe Smasher (Imp) / Operation Clean Sweep (Rep)

If you experience any issues that do not correlate with the above, please post your details in this thread. Thank you!

They are still bugged as follows:

On one character I have done all missions on the day of availability and completed them successfully, so no issues as long as they are completed every day. I will be able to test the weekly resets starting today.

But on another character, I did not log in for 2 days, and as a result I am missing the missions for those two days (Thurs/Friday) for this week. It appears as if when you skip a day the mission disappears upon the next reset.

I was wondering about that myself... I like doing these once a week or so and would prefer to get them all at the same time each week. In any case, I think having them reset on Tuesday would be more convenient but even just getting them all on the same day regardless of which day that is would be nice as well.

It's not like I can't log in each day, because I do, it's just one more thing to remember and having senior moments I guess! :)

I think thas is intended. You get one daily a day. If you don't complete it that day it drops out for the next days daily. That's how I believe it works, BW can correct me if I'm wrong but that's what I got out of it.

Yes, I don't know why you have them set up like this. EVERY other daily in the game can be picked up at ANY time (assuming it hasn't already been completed) during the week. The space missions only have a limited window during which you can pick them up--the day that they come available. I don't feel like doing repeat missions every day so I delay some missions on some toons, and it's a royal pain to have to remember/check that I've picked up missions on multiple toons every single day.

Please change these to be like every other daily. The unlock should not be time-limited.

From what I've seen, they reset like this:

  • Tuesday - Far Cradle Strike (Imp) / Regnant Station (Rep)
  • Wednesday - Kabal Station Defense (Imp) / Ardis Outpost Fortification (Rep)
  • Thursday - Kanz Minefield (Imp) / New Covar Ice Field (Rep)
  • Friday - Duma Strike (Imp) / Baros Ambush (Rep)
  • Saturday - Lorta Escort (Imp) / Hypori Escort (Rep)
  • Sunday - Cha Raaba Assault (Imp) / Thanium Disruption (Rep)
  • Sunday - Operation Foe Smasher (Imp) / Operation Clean Sweep (Rep)

As a side note, Regnant Station gives less credits than Far Cradle Strike. The Imp version gives the usual 1600-something, but the Rep one only gives around 530.

Yeah, that looks accurate to me. I always do the "Duma Strike" and "Cha Raaba Assault" missions on Sundays and complete both [Cha Raaba Assault] and [Operation Foe Smasher] at the same time, in addition to a daily mission Tuesday through Saturday for the last week.

To give a bit more clarification, the when picked up, the Heroic Space Combat missions work as follows:

1. The mission for the day is available at 6AM CST (4AM PST/7AM EST/12PM GMT/1PM CET/11PM AEDT)

2. That mission is then available at 6AM CST (4AM PST/7AM EST/12PM GMT/1PM CET/11PM AEDT) the following day.

3. If you did not do the mission from the previous day, it will no longer be in your mission log, meaning these are not missions that can be collected and then complete them on the last day of the week. They cycle daily rather than “reset” weekly.

Hopefully this clears up any further confusion.

With regards to reports of inaccuracies in the schedule and the reported bug above, we are investigating and will report when there’s more information to relay.

Thanks for your feedback!

Ha. I knew I was right. Thanks for the clarification.

I think people get confused because they think there is a individual weekly or that they are dailys that can be aquired and done at their convienance, which is not the case. You get one daily a day, if you don't do it that day it's gone, replaced by the next day.

I guess the question is then why are they like that? I can't log in every day of the week so now I feel like I'm missing my space missions. Why not just make each one a weekly that resets on a different day so that you can log in an do the ones you havn't done since the last time you logged in?

I concur. This is a silly restriction IMO.

This does clarify how they work, but I have to agree with the other posters that this is extraordinarily confusing and very inconvenient. I would love to be able to collect them all and spend an hour doing them on Saturday, as it is difficult for me to log in most week days. I would suggest switching them to each be a separate weekly, resetting on different days. The net effect would be almost identical, and it would help some of the more casual players get more than 1 or 2 done per week.

Or just make them weekly's that all reset on Tuesday. This would essentially give the same affect except not requiring people to log in everyday or on some particular day to get them.

+1

Why oh why are these not in the same format as every other daily/weekly quest in the game? All this does is create frustration for people trying to complete them (as others have stated, I also don't log in every single day)

I'm pretty sure that's exactly the reason they set it up this way. You are meant to feel compelled to log in and play every day. If you log in to do the daily space mission you are more likely to play other aspects of the game daily as well. And when a customer participates in multiple aspects of the game on a daily basis, they are much more likely to keep their recurring subscription plan. I expect to see more of the new daily missions structured in this way going forward.

It is really not that confusing. There is one per day, except Sunday there is two and Monday there is none. How exactly is that confusing?

Also it is not meant to be convenient, it is meant to give you a reason to log in every day. And I for one like it. If you can't log in for 4-6minutes per day, what exactly do you need the comms for anyways?

What is happening with Lorta Escort/Hypori Escort? There will be no weekly for this space mission? Monday slot is empty.

It is on Saturday.

I like to keep my own schedule in this game--I log in almost every day, but there are days I won't do a single daily, or will only do some kinds. Thus far, the game's structure has supported this. This new and wholly unasked for concept does not, and I don't want any part of it. If the missions start disappearing out of my log (which they haven't, so far), I'm not going to do them--I like doing three or four in a big block.

I pretty much never post to these forums, except when the issue is something I think will cause a serious negative impact on my enjoyment of the game (and appreciation towards it as an institution, something that inclines me to keep supporting the game monetarily). This is one of those times. I'd rather have the old, bugged versions where I only got a handful of the missions to pay out but I could do them whenever I wanted, than this so-called fix.

So if that list is correct an operation was removed? Hypori/Lorta escort which used to be on fridays.

From what I've seen, they reset like this:

  • Tuesday - Far Cradle Strike (Imp) / Regnant Station (Rep)

If that list is correct it means the Escort mission was just missed in AmberGreen's post, question is then, why have two missions that unlock on Sunday and none on Monday?

This is possible, but if so it's poor logic on their part. Making people feel obligated to log on every single day to get something particular makes the game feel more like a job or an obligation then fun and makes me less likely to want to spend time and money on it. Dailies are alright when it's the same quest/objective everytime, this rotating idea is really stupid.
