Sith Warrior or Sith Inq?

I'm big on the roleplaying malarky, and getting ready to roll my first Empire. Determined to make it a Sith

I've nothing against sorcerers, but I'd certainly rather play a melee option if I'm doing the 'Sith Lord' thing. My sith lord will be the embodiment of anger, cruelty, and cunning!

That said, I'm unsure about which class choice to go with. Asaassian appeals, but simply lacking the 'charge' thing makes me wonder if it'll feel really slow (slower than the whole reckless apprentice thing should). Asides from that, Melee from the shadows, on my terms with a double bladed saber sounds wonderful.

Alternatively, Warrior. More so Marauder, duel weilding and would certainly have the 'anger/fury/reckless' thing going on in combat

Are there any sith players out there who can offer me any insights on the Asassian as a class?

Please forgive my atrocious spelling!

The Assassin combat animations are REALLY lame, plus you are still primarily a force ability class not so much a lightsaber specialist. Not that theyre not fun, but they just dont feel like the up in your face lightsaber kind of class. Granted I didnt play my Assassin passed 25ish because it was so boring to look at :p

I dont have a Mara either, but Juggernauts at least have a lot of "oomph" to their attack animations.

My main is a level 41 tanksassin, and I have a Marauder alt at level 31. I'd be happy to give you some impressions.

Assassins are great fun. I haven't tried any of the DPS trees, but I hear they're viable. And I love the tanking tree, even though it took a while to get a good rotation down. Sure, you have to run up to mobs, but you also have a few ranged lightning attacks to throw out before (or while) you close the distance. The story is good, but not great, it's only advantage is that I like the origin/beginning more.

As storylines go, I prefer the Marauder. It's simple and straightforward, but action-packed. I've found the Marauder a lot easier to play than the Assassin while I'm soloing, I've been breezing through boss battles in my class quests. Marauders are a bit odd, as you have to manage several resources/buffs, but they do close to mobs quickly and rip through enemies. My only criticism is that their attack animations look very repetitive.

I hadn't been considering Juggernauts simply because of the single saber, harsh I suppose, but since we're on it, do they compare well to marauders? Intending to do some PVP with whatever i take up as well, and OFC i already know they get the charge down

Ok, from what I can tell you are more inclined for warrior, so I'll give you my analysis of both AC (50 mara, 41 jugg)

If you are only interested in DPS and PvP, with no tanking, go Marauder. It is better.

If you want to tank, Jugg is your choice.

People might say the DPS difference is close, but it really isnt, Maras are superior. However, around level 35-40, the going gets tough until 50, when you will have all your tools and shine.

As for assassins, they are a solid class for tanking, and their tank spec is good in PvP. However, their dps lags behind in PvE content. Also, SI story is rather dull in comparison.
