Chriscrawz
I just finished the story missions on Nar Shaddaa and got the new Companion, (The scientist) Now i followed the next mission to my ship and to another vessel that is being attatcked by its captain, a jedi afflicted with the Dark Plague. When I boarded her ship I had no companion portrait menu at all. I tried the ctrl + u trick to get it back but nothing has worked. It only show my portrait menu and the spot where the companions was is blank. What do I do?

Chriscrawz
I tried that but it wasnt on my key bindings so it didn't do anything. I tried to go in to preferences and bind it myself but there wasnt an option to do it. =/
Chriscrawz
Ha ha sorry You were right, it turns out I kept forgetting to click Apply before I clicked OK. Thanks for the help!
Bstr
Hit "N" select a companion and it should return. If you have problems with keybinding or are like me and have the "N" key bound to something else, you can just hit the Diamond icon in the menu at the top of the screen to pull up the Companion List. (It is between the Flag for Guilds and the Gears for Options on that menu.)
Kerensk
And even once you have a companion selected in the (N) companion menu you may need to press the little "play" arrow under the now-blank companion avatar circle to re summon them.
