Elite-Warhero Hilt stats worse than Barrel. WUT?

I didn't recognize this at first but well, I just did.

 

If you look at the stats of the Elite-Warhero Hilts (63) for Jedis/Sages it has the following stats:

+37 Strength (or willpower)

+36 Endurance

+50 Expertise

Now compare it with the Barrels (63) for Soldier/Smuggler. It's like any other 63. PVP Armoring.

+39 Aim (Cunning)

+39 Endurance

+50 Expertise

Could this be intended? I kinda doubt that. Opinions?

Just out of curiosity, what kind of bonus does 2-3 points grant, and have you compared the total bonuses applied by the full gear set? Maybe an implant or an offhand somewhere provides the missing points.

 

As far as i know (I just compared smuggler implants/ear with jedi knights') it's perfectly even.

 

I remember a buff for elite warhero armorings/hilts/barrels somewhen around 1.5 and for me it seems like they simply forgot to adjust the hilts since they still got the "old" stats.

Sure, this piece you've cherry-picked specifically may have a +2 stat boost and +3 endurance boost over the other piece, but who's to say there isn't another piece in that set of gear that has a -2 stat boost and a -3 endurance boost to balance it out?

 

You can't compare them on one piece of gear, sorry.

Actually, them all should be equivalent to make mix and matching possible.

 

The pieces are moddable, compensating the lack of something in one mod in another mod doesn't cut it.

Actually I think you can. The armors fully mod able and if you want BiS you almost always have to remod it. If they balanced out this missing 2 or 3 stat levels in other mods that would be worse the other way because mods or enhancements can end up in just about every slot magnifying the problem.

 

This is clearly a mistake if it's like this in game, hopefully it's corrected.

They might be, in a perfect world for OCD's sake, but since you'd never really be mixing and matching Aim and Willpower, I'm not sure it really matters.

 

The only case this may ever come into play at the current time is in outfitting HK-51 with a set of EWH gear, since HK can use both Cunning and Aim.

Wow, do we actually play the same game?

ALL Elite-Warhero Armorings got +39 primary stats / +39 Endurance / +50 Expertise. And since Hilts/Barrels are the armorings weapon-wise it's nothing else but comparable. If you talk about "cherry-picked" mods you either aren't level 50 yet or haven't been thinking about gearing/modding at all.

 

It's simply like someone said above:

Elite War Hero armorings, barrels, and hilts have had their stats improved slightly.

 

Prior to 1.5 the Elite-Warhero Weapons already existed and had the +37 Primary / +36 Endurance / +50 Expertise stats. BW considered them too low and "improved them slightly" to +39 / +39 / +50 but simply forgot the hilts.
