cs_zoltan Posted December 9, 2013 Share Posted December 9, 2013 (edited) But everyone is doing more than 3.3k. 5 minutes was a standard invented by the community as a bare minimum, I personally use the 1.5 mil dummy now and don't have a problem with parsing a little longer than 5 minutes (if anything it means less RNG, which is a good thing. Extremely lucky crit parses were never particularly indicative of a spec's actual performance anyway). I wouldn't say that there are more. More people/spec/parse are closer to 3.3-3.4k than 4k. And even with 4k dps the 1million dummy is closer to the 5min mark than the 1,5million, which was the sweetspot for comparing dps. Anyway 1,5mill is fine, but the low damage burst specs gona slack even more (looks at Concealment, AP, Deception, Rage, Arsenal) Edited December 9, 2013 by cs_zoltan Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Anyways, 1m HP dummy Armor debuff required, do NOT cut the beginning of the log, I want to see you use the debuff/health modules in the log before the fight starts. So the uncropped parse will show the correct time-to-kill (TTK), but the wrong DPS - we know its wrong because the total damage is a few thousand less than the dummy's HP. So instead of using the DPS torparse lists, we would calculate it from TTK for each parse. Also, if you haven't read the most recent posts yet... any chance you might reconsider using the 1.5 mil dummy? That said, had it been 1.5 million I would have just had to accept that fact and either pray for some all-stars aligned crits or dust off my annihilation for parsing. I still do not think carnage will be top parsing spec for maras with 1 million. I suspect you and some of the other anni maras will show us some brilliant parses now that Falver has decided to go for 1 million w/AR. I've been close to 3.6k with a few tries lately, so I am sure more proficient people will get more juice out of the spec. And here's a fight clipped to show when I added the modules to the dummy. I added the modules a long time before the fight, just to be overly sure my proc relics had their ICD finished.
