Next expansion, what do you want to see?

Maybe a target dummy on fleet called Andryah.

Failing that, maybe a little pet called Andryah - it could either be a white knight or a little troll?

Such honor should be bestowed only on the great Gaming Legends SirMarty and SirCopperfield.

Andryah is a fairly reasonable but little blinded fan.

I hope 3.0 will be a full expansion for 50 bucks one wich you can buy in the store.

including:

1 new species (togruta or kel'dor)

1 new planet (maybe dantoine)

Levelcap increase to level 60

continuation of our Storyline

THE SSSP featuring the following:

An Open space around each of the core planets and Deep space in wich you can roam through asteroid fields.

Each of the Class starships fully customizable (both interior and exterior) change the exteriors shape, add different weapons.

Missions wich require you to fight both in space and on land. For example "Raids" wich encompase an attack on a destroyer. First the raid must fight against waves of fighters and dodge the attacks from the Destroyer. After that certain key elements must be destroyed to enable the "ground" part. The raid lands on the destroyer and fights it's way through it like in traditional raids.

A 2nd line of progression.

Space XP and Space abilities would NOT be tied to your normal game progress.

Each Character would gain a second line of progression, their pilot class wich would be leveled only in space and allow you to use your starship better / user higher grade weapons.

Open world space pvp with players fighting for certain mining bases in a huge asteroid field. First you must attack the base in space then fight your way on foot in order to capture an enemies base.

Bases can be claimed by guilds who gain minor benefits for that.

Some Space warzones for those who dislike open world PvP.

I guess that would be worth 50 bucks ;)

I totally support this.

Plus missions in open pvp zones in Tatooine, Alderanaa, etc... :

- Poping objectives missions : convoy/escort vip, free prisoners/kill spies, plant/disarm bombs, and so on. General announcement giving infos on the current objective to fulfill, player with more than 10 levels than the max level of the planet wouldn't be warned nor rewarded, time's running, interesting rewards for every contributors.

- Bounty mission : killing an enemy in open pvp space gives the opportunity to get him back in carbonite from crime scene to a npc in the nearest outpost to earn a substantial bounty. Mission severly timed to avoid abuse, victim unable to revive to his/her former emplacement before time runs out, but can (and should ^^) communicate his/her position in the chat to ask for reinforcement. Interesting rewards for every contributors. Any players with more than 10 levels than the max level of the planet couldn't use the carbonite system nor be rewarded for helping.

For both those kind of missions, players passing by the objective or the carbonite would get an insta grouping proposition to the mission unless he/she's 10 levels more than the max level of the planet or if the time is only one tier left.

Plus rewards for GROUND OPEN PVP from Tatooine to Makeb :

- titles for X amount of kills, "Lame bantha" being earned by a player owning a 20 levels lower than him.

- crédits + XP + medals for open kills (getting lower to none with more than a 5 to 10 levels difference)

- cosmetics, equipment buyable only thanks to medals (+ credits) earned through open pvp, tradeable in the galactic market.

$50?!?!?!?!?!?

I paid just under that the buy the game when it first came out! NO WAY!

Why should we have to pay for the game AGAIN AND! a monthly sub?!

These things should be gradually added throughout the next few updates and then one big expansion pack like jump to light speed for maybe $10 but even thats pushing it as our subs and cartel purchases should be taking care of the costs!

Seeing that there are now Tauntauns to be used as mounts (what I had hoped for since the Beta), I am pretty optimistic that BioWare could deliver some more stuff us fans always hoped for.

What I definitely want for the next big expansion:

- New planets to explore and quest on (including Flashpoints or Warzones). These could be for example Naboo, Kashyyyk or maybe even some planets/places that we know from the KotOR series. But what would be FANTASTIC would be DAGOBAH! If you remember The Empire Strikes Back, Luke enters an old cave (with what appears to be ruins of an ancient temple) when he faces "The Mirror". The cave is an ancient place of Dark Side energy with its origin unknown. A future expansion for TOR would be a PERFECT OPPORTUNITY to discover this temple's history, seeing that the game takes place roughly 3600 years before the movies!

-New storylines. Either continue the class quests or create one major storyline for all classes. Sure, there are many PVP-junkies in TOR (I like to play PVP myself every now and then), but the main thing for me in this game has always been story-driven quests that spun around an entire arc and multiple planets with dialogues and player choices - THAT is The Old Republic as we love it!

- New Level Cap (maybe 60 or 65, depending on the content)

-New races. Nothing too important, but still a nice addition. Maybe something more exotic like Kel'Dor.

- New companions! Yes, we got HK and Treek, but if you're gonna include a new storyline, we will NEED new companions!

- Little extras and minigames. I, like many others, enjoy the combat in SWTOR. However, there is more to the Star Wars universe than just combat (obviously despite its name). What I'd LOVE to see is things like HOUSING, minigames like PAZAAK or certain social activities that could be added to select cantinas, so people would actually hang out and relax between Flashpoints in maybe a cantina on the fleet.

Another interesting thing would be Guild Halls or Ships.

So as you might have noticed, I didn't mention any improvements, but rather ideas for more of what we already have.

The thing is that creating all this content would be alot of work, but it is something that BioWare has proven itself to be more than capable of pulling off in the past.

And with plenty of players (like myself) having subscribed since Early Access, BW's income should be enough to work on such things.

Don't let us down guys, the fate of the galaxy now rests in your hands!

Its too long for me to read it so I dont , but I support this idea :rak_03:

50 bucks seems a lot, but 30 bucks at the very least, looks fair for such additions.

If you were playing WOW, GW2 or any big game you would pay but not for SWTOR ? Moreover you don't HAVE to pay a sub. Subbing currently I see no point to keep subbing, since all I needed is now unlocked, I'll totally enjoy my upcoming preferred status.

Current gen games will get you around 8-10 hours of gameplay for 60 bucks. Some games, such as Zelda and others that are more high quality, will tend to get you around 40-50 in a regular playthrough. Occasionally such games usually have DLC that costs 10 to 20 bucks just for a few more extra hours of content. Sometimes this DLC was made before the game even released, too.

The question is, why would you pay 60 dollars for such little content but not 50 dollars for the content shown there? And you don't have to pay a monthly sub either. As far as I'm concerned though, I'd rather pay fifteen bucks a month for days of playtime in that month than 60 bucks every week for 10-20 hours on average in a normal game.

Outside of that point, I really doubt that open world space combat is too hard to implement and I'm really concerned that it's not already added. It was added only a year after Star Wars Galaxies and had pretty much all of the features that poster mentioned. Not only that but it's being recreated by a group of volunteer devs in the Emulator. From scratch because, if anyone remembers this, the code to the original SWG doesn't even exist anymore. Unless it's hidden in Scrooge's bank vault.

Considering how much they make out of the 'content' that is cartel packs, I wonder what motivation the dev team has for doing most of the recommendations I see in this thread and not charging WELL OVER $50 for it (since it'd take way more effort).

A new competent dev team that knows what a balanced class system looks like

This is a ridiculous request. Go play WoW or any other MMO. SWTOR has been incredibly well balanced in comparison to all other MMO's out there. Difficult to please much? Maybe your idea of balance is to buff your favorite class. This is about an expansion, no one cares about your personal vendettas.

Malgus. He's the poster boy for the game, the star of the cinematics, and is still merchandised ad nauseum. He's the clear choice to lead a new Sith Empire to right all the glaring wrongs and unite fractured leadership, then we're forced to take him down. His impact is noted, referenced, and felt on the Sith side in RotHC, but he needs to come back in full force in an expansion.

thisthisthisthisthis. He should have somehow survived after "the false emperor" and sought refuge with the jedi, completely disillusioned with the sith. He would be redeemed and become a jedi master, with the class stories of the expansion revolving around him and his actions on dantooine.

Open space.

Player cities.

More events to breathe more life into the Galaxy.

Rather than player cities, which should be hard to do (or strongholds maybe) cause in a pvp server for example it would necessary be in a free pvp zone, I would better wish for player space stations : that would totally rox :D

I'm sure its been stated, but an out of combat dual spec that allows one to quickly change gear, weapon, UI, hotbars, and a per-established talent tree....within the confines of their particular AC.

I would also like to see them finally balance crafting mission so that many of the bottlenecks are smoothed over. Would further appreciate a separate set of missions for companion gifts so that they cease to interfere with actually mat acquisition through the mission finder.

guild tools such as summoning for raids, broadcast mailing, and absolutely a logging system so the guild leader can tell what is going on with his membership.

Class stories.

Um.

Star Wars things yay! (。◕‿◕。):wea_03:

Unfortunately still relevant.

Also, fully fleshed out SGRAs with companions (current one preferably) and actual puzzles when fighting the "puzzle boss". Hell, a flashpoint that is almost entirely puzzles and traps would make my day.

And probably kill me a lot.

Either of a couple things.

(1. An extension of the class stories and companion storylines, maybe new class-exclusive companions. New planet, maybe some new mounts.

OR

(2. Space combat update that's supposedly still in the works.

I'd definitely want both soon, but for the next expansion I'd be happy with either one.

1. Lvl cap to 70

2. Revamped Open Space combat like a mix of X Wing VS Tie Fighter and Wing Commander

3. New planet that's larger than Hoth with a butt load of missions and dailies for lvlers and credit farmers.

4. Updated game engine with DX11 SLI and Crossfire support and still be able to run on low end PC without any issues.

I want to see Bioware blow the doors off everyone's expectations.

First create a new faction. The Cartel faction. Members of the cartel faction could ally themselves with Imp or Rep. Or they could just do for themselves.

Move Bounty Hunter to the new faction. Replace the bounty hunter in the empire with the Sith Trooper.

Move Smuggler to the new faction. Replace the smuggler in the republic with Republic Officer.

Next in the new faction add in two new classes. Gambler, Technician, Animal Handler, etc.

Allow ranged weapon classes to choose their weapon. A bounty hunter could use a blaster carbine or a rifle. An agent could use a pistol. A smuggler could use a blaster rifle. A trooper could use a pistol. And they could all use melee weapons as well if they wished.

Next add several new races. There are so many to choose from. So I wont try to list them all. But some could be selected at the beginning. Some purchased off the cartel market. And some unlocked through different means. Maybe even world drop unlocks.

Lastly add in several new planets. Including new starting planet for the two new classes. And the new classes for cartel, would have one.

I know its wishful thinking. We are talking alot of storyline quest rewrites for the smuggler and BH including new voice over stuff. But hey would be cool I think.

Actually wouldn't be that hard honestly just rename the BH to Sith Trooper and the Smugg to Pub Officer / The two "New" classes would need stories of their own so link the new stories to them and link the BH and Smug to the new faction ones and DONE. But Like you said Wishful thinking Bioware isnt about to work THAT hard. lol.

I like the Weapon choices Idea and some new planets Would LOVE to see BW's rendition of Endor and Kashyyyk. But the FEW things I would like to see MOST are:

1) Give the Sith different ships as well as the Jedi

2) Player Housing and Ship Customization, instanced to cut down on lag but with the decorating capabilities of SWG where anything you pick up can be used as a decoration and placed anywhere/at any angle in your home and ship.

3) Let us play Rodian's I would like to recreate my OLD SWG Sith Lord here but he has to be a Rodian.

4) Flight Sim style Space like SWG had, where we can literally fly from planet to planet and fight pirates and the like with small fighters (like the X-Wing and Tie Fighters that both the player OR a Companion can fly) that can be launched from the main ships. Hyper space is used for system to system or taxi with the main ship travel.

YAVIN 4.

There is so much potential here. Old Sith ruins to explore, links to the movies as well as to previous KOTOR history...

MORE SPECIES.

Togruta, Rodians, Nautolans, Kel Dor...

JEDI VERSUS SITH.

Let's take a break from random Hutt and Czerka stuff and get back to the meat of Star Wars: the eternal battle of light against dark, Jedi against Sith.

It has been a month now since the Rise of the Hutt Cartel has been released. It is going to be a while until more major content like that will be added, which is understandable. It should take at least 3 more months until we hear anything for even story related content, much more for an expansion.

But what would you want the next one to have? Another level cap raise to, say, 60? New and faster mounts? More companions? Planets to visit such as Dantooine, Mustafar, Yavin, etc? New CLASSES?

What do you want to see in the next expansion?

Definitely new classes another race and mustafar would be awesome!!

Definitely a new planet. A continuation of the class stories would be nice. As well as some advancement in the war throughout the galaxy. Possibly a PvP planet. A good example of what I mean would be like what they did in Star Wars Galaxies with Restuss. A zone controlled by a certain faction with NPC's having a consistent spawn time to help you take over the city/planet/area.

A new class would be nice as well. Even if its a neutral class that decides whether you want to be Empire or Republic. I thought you would have been able to do that with BH, but i presumed wrong.

Another cool thing about Star Wars Galaxies I really enjoyed was having actual player bounties that players assigned themselves after being killed.

More space missions. They may not provide anything towards your character, but they still are entertaining.

The game needs more Ops in it as well. This whole BS of taking the old Ops and creating "Nightmare Mode" seems a little half *** to me. It could be an Op that helps determine the outcome of the war. Or maybe a Rogue Sith/Jedi.

PvP could use some adjustments. For example, in Huttball, it seems like Rotworms ALWAYS get to the ball first. Before the Frogdogs even get down the ramp they have the ball. Possibly some more PvP gear. Make it a little more strategic where you can buy gear to cap your expertise, or to increase your critical chance or endurance. It seems like no matter what gear you get, you will be expertise capped if you have a full set. Its nice because it's balanced, but takes out the fun of getting to where you want to be.

Being able to customize your starship would be a really nice thing to see. Having vendors that use commendations to buy it, or even just a vendor to buy your own items to feature on it. Possibly even a new crew skill to create items you could put on your ship would be nice as well.

Basically what I think would be really nice to see, would be some sort of advancement in the PvP system. I see more people PvP than i see doing Ops. So possibly the new planet could also be a major PvP zone. Not the entire planet, but some PvP missions in a select area.
