Congrats All Around to the players, fans and devs !

It's been a wild n crazy ride during our 1st year !

I'd like to Thank BW for taking the initiative and risks involved to put this project together.

And a shout out to the community and fansites devotion and support to TOR & BW !

Though I don't post often, I've been here since Beta Testing and Early Access.

Played through some classes to 50, few smugglers, couple cons, a trooper, IAs .... you get the pic.

Still enjoying the game, will continue to do so, and looking forward to more upcoming content and improvements !

And...

Stay On Top Of It BW !!

So many Veterans! I pick up my version of Star Wars The Old Republic Collectors Edition when it hit the Game Stop shelves. Wish I was here since early acess but ya know what its all good.

 

Wanted to let ya know that this old school Ebon Hawk member is still kicking and ready and willing to fight the Imperials if I'm on my Republic toons or fight the Republic if I'm on my Imperial toons!

 

*Takes out his light sabers and makes a woosh sound*

 

*Or takes out his blasters and says LETS ROCK!*

Been playtesting since closed beta and would like to add:

 

successful character transfer tests

5 months of combat ability delay bugs (2 that extended through release) that got fixed;

adding a zillion servers at launch; and

noticeable server population increases since the last server consolidation (almost 4 months ago)

 

Why I'm still here and will continue playing:

 

Entertaining (& often comedic) voice animated player/questgiver interaction;

Interactive quest/plot decision trees that help shape my character stories and companion rosters;

Gearing up an evolving stable of combat-ready crafting companions - EVERY CHARACTER HAS THEM;

Microing companions with another player through level-appropriate 4 player group content;

Fun & balanced heroics & flashpoints;

Every class being able to rez others and self-heal out of combat;

Huttball (reminds me of Unreal Tournament);

Legacy perks & unlocks (just wish the Heroic Moment CD was shorter);

Orange custom gear that is fully upgradeable through level 50 HMs;

1.2's customizable UI (BW hit a home run with this one);

Groupfinder;

Warzones;

Old school tanking mechanics (gimmie 1 taunt, 1 aggro bomb, 1 stun & 1 interrupt and I'll tank Godzilla with a whiffle bat & a frisbee.)

Been here since launch and not planning to go. The last year summary from a Scoundrel/Operative perspective:

 

1 - pre-launch: "WOW, this game's gonna be so great, I'm gonna roll a Scoundrel - always wanted to play a Rogue with an ability to heal!"

 

2 - launch and leveling: "WOW, this game is so great and I love the story, I love the mechanics, can't wait till i reach lvl50!"

 

3 - pvp pre 1.1:

DPS: "Ha! I'm doing so much burst damage! Now that you can call a true assassin".

HEAL: "Damnit, why is Kolto Cloud/Recuperative Nanotech so slow?"

 

4 - 1.2:

DPS: "Oh my god, they're nerfing me for the 10th time...."

HEAL: "Finally, they fixed Kolto Cloud/Recuperative Nanotech".

 

5 - since 1.2 till this day:

DPS: "I think I'm gonna try Dirty Fighting/Lethality... may as well use auto-attack O_O"

HEAL: "Hot,hot,hot,instant,hot,hot,hot,instant..."
