Didn't you guys tell us that the cartel market would not usurp the actual game?

Everything cool added since 1.4 outside of Dread Guard and Elite War Hero has been introduced through the cartel market. And yes a lot of it is available on the GTN.

But why have new mini-quests for rare mats not been introduced for the new crystals like you did for magenta?

Why aren't the new mounts, pets or pieces of the new gear being introduced through mini quests, world bosses, or other content?

Is this what we should expect for the future of swtor going forward, all new and fun pets, mounts, and gear being introduced in the cartel market and our two options are to spend real money in addition to our subscriptions or go do dailies to make credits to buy it off the GTN?

If this is correct, then it sure feels like my subscription is going to fund the development of stuff to spend real dollars on rather than to be a value for value exchange.

Many are getting caught up on the "gear" in the title as meaning clothing. I just used this generically. Everything that is being added into the game is being added through the CM.

Prior to F2P highly desired mounts like the Emperor's Throne and Meditation Chair would have likely dropped off an HM OP boss or a high level world boss. The new crystals introduced through random purple schematic drops in Section X and the most desirable off the new Section X world boss. Maybe that new fancy $18 mount would have dropped off Dread Tooth at only 3 stacks+. And the new pets would have been mini quests like we got with the bird egg and Tauntan jerky.

The point of the thread is not what is "cool" or not. Coolness will always be objective no matter what the gear is. For example, most hated the Battlemaster Weaponmaster set when it was released. Now that it's gone, many are asking for it to be put back in the game as none valor limited orange gear. Game seasons change, tastes change, etc and so forth.

The point is that ALL loot is coming through the CM and no new loot is being added through drops or mini-quests. That's a problem.

Why is all the cool new gear cartel exclusive?

^This, find some orange gear you like, mix and match, mod it out and make your own outfit.

Obviously you missed the point of his post and why he was asking it. Yes OP. All the good stuff is going to go to the CM. It is their cash cow. The days of questing for that cool new piece of gear died when they introduced the CM. So don't get your hopes up that you will be questing for the nice **** anymore. Open your wallet and pony up the $$$ for the good ****.

Neither side has gotten any new equipment, mounts, or pets since 1.4 that is not from ops or wzs. Maybe you didn't fully get the OP.

Let them increase the levels and difficulty of things first then complain about no new gear.

What? Not one post in this thread is asking for more stats. There is new gear added to the cartel market every other week. New empty equipment, new pets, new color crystals, new mounts. There is NO NEW ANYTHING being added to the game except via the real money market.

Why is BW not adding these things for subscribers within the game world without having to go through the market?

If it was obtainable from in-game, less people would want to buy it.

But, I am in favor of making it possible to sell all cartel exclusive stuff on the GTN.

Yeeeahhhh. 500 CC a month when the armors costs 1440 per set. Great solution to wait 3 months to get what you would like. And for the people who are selling those on the market, they are buying them with their real money to sell them. Somebody is spending money to gain the items of the CM. So what is your point again?

It's hideous. With the exception of the Valiant, Raider and Phantom sets. So 12/5 chestpieces are ugly as sin. That's not a good sign for the Cartel Market.

There will be new gear with new FP and OPS.

The point is that all the good **** goes to the CM istead of from completing in-game content. That is the point. But I guess you wouldn't know what that means since all you and people like you care about is spending your dough instead of playing the game.

But it's cool. Us old schoolers, actual gamers, like to actually play the game for our rewards.
