I need those 3 bars on the side. I'm a paid subscriber, do i need to be preferred? And if so, how do I get preferred?

If you are a subscriber you are in the best position. You should h ave 6 bars.

Open your Interface Editor, you will be able to enable and move around all your bars.

I opened the editor, saw those vertical qb's on the right. They were red and I could not activate them.

To add to this. Target the UI piece you wish to move (in this case the action bar you want to move) and then you will see the options ( in the middle bottom of the page) change and let you know what you can do with each object selected.
