BreakdownFX
I just recently came back to SWTOR....(Been gone since before launch of ROTHC). I have a 46 Gunslinger and a now 55 Commando. Which of the two is going to be more in demand atm? I would definitely prefer to heal on the commando. I am mostly going to be interested in PVE, but I would not mind doing some ranked wz's. Valyne
Ultimately it comes down to what you want to do. If you want to only dps then gun slinger but if you want the option to heal then go with commando both classes i find fun and rewarding.
Nibbon
gunslingers are much more in demand since they do more raw DPS - but commandos are good and certainly aren't shunned like most shadows.

Stumkrav
I'm on the same boat. Cannot decide properly, bot are great and bot can do magic. Each one has his pros, ofc, but commando (mercenary for me) can heal, do top dmg and it's very cool class. But for other side, gunslinger has nice visuals, brutal damage and better cc/defensive cds, and cool story too. Uhm... questions, questions, questions!!! Roxas_kun
Both are equally good and fun to play. Both perform well in their respective roles. Overall, just ask yourself, Cover vs No Cover? Medium vs Heavy? Dual Wield Pistols vs BFG? Edited July 24, 2013 by Roxas_kun
