Spoletta
Its really something for bioware to put new missions for space but man making the missions so hard that you need the class 7 gear just to have a small glimmer of a chance to complete it. You cant even do the mission with the top gear you have for your ship the advance class 5 parts that were top of the line before the update! Well i used to be really happy with the space mission and after these mission i will be hanging up my pilot helmet for now cause either the missions are too high lvl for my ship or they are some how bugged i dont know but i will not pay real money for the space parts from the cartel just to be able to have a chance to play the game. These mission are supposed to be a challenge, not something you get on your first try. When there is a new operation that you can`t down what do you do? Learn a better strategy and spend more time equipping or rant to the devs that you wiped? Those missions DO NOT require grade 7 to be completed, it has been said many times and i made sure checking personally. I completed 4 missions in around 30 tries with grade 6 (baros, the shuttle defense, ardis and the one where you destroy the 8 satellites). My next targets are new kovor and Disruption (Chaa braa for imps) and i`m fairly sure that i`ll get those down with grade 6 equip, or at the most with grade 7 missiles. So now you have it, it`s definitely possible to down this operation boss. Do you want to try downing it or just whine to the devs so that they nerf it? (And then complain that there is no endgame). MaximusRex
Guess what, they were on the PTS for the past 2 weeks. If you wanted to cry about their difficulty then would have been the time. not now. Considering that the steep cost of Grade 7 gear made it impossible to test how difficult it was on PTS, this isn't really a viable excuse. The difficulty/time investment vs Reward is way off. Gwence
only done Duma Strike so far on empire side, but if you time your 15 sec immunity well it's pretty easy'ish. I started out with emp right away to damage the 3 frigates that surround u, then I hit the immunity when u come around the corner with the bombers and the corsair ship, should have emp back up towards the end of it and can use on the big command ship for a little extra damage on the bridge which was the hardest part to blow up. took me 2 tries looking forward to trying out the other ones. NoFishing
Guess what, they were on the PTS for the past 2 weeks. If you wanted to cry about their difficulty then would have been the time. not now. Oh please, don't pretend feedback on the PTS actually makes any difference. It never has. Proof: the commando PvP gear *BUG* was reported on the PTS over 2 weeks ago, and was still pushed to live as is. That said, I agree with you they are supposed to be challenging. I tried two different missions last night, and failed repeatedly at both. I look forward to failing them many many more times before I get them down, so I would vote leave them as is for now. Kitru
Oh please, don't pretend feedback on the PTS actually makes any difference. It never has. Proof: the commando PvP gear *BUG* was reported on the PTS over 2 weeks ago, and was still pushed to live as is. Just because a Bug is known about doesn't mean that the cause of said bug has been discovered. When dealing with programs and staffs as massive as BW uses, especially when you're maintaining and adding to code that you didn't actually write yourself, debugging is a highly convoluted and perturbing process. Just because a bug was reported on the PTS 2 weeks ago doesn't mean that no work has been done to fix it or that it was ignored. If the developers refused to release content until every single bug was fixed, they would never keep up with the 6-8 week major release schedule (unless they spent a *lot* more money to get a massive staff of programmers and debuggers). There's a saying amidst programmers that bears repeating. Quick, cheap, and bug free: pick 2.
Gelious
Tried one yesterday. Got obliterated half through the mission without any of targets destroyed (just how much rockets do they need?!) Shield useless, too much damage. Also, how the hell am I supposed to fly, shoot, dodge and do not crash into anything IN THE SAME TIME? Tried another, got obliterated even faster. Decided to leave the missions for those who are good at it. Don't know what the folks on test servers were thinking, probably they all some uber-hardcore specialists. For casual players its absolutely no fun and annoying. Edited December 12, 2012 by Gelious
Dreeble
I've enjoyed the new missions quite a bit so far. I needed about 2/3 of the grade 7 upgrades to start completing a few of them. But it just takes practice: learning when to switch to full shields, when the asteroid you plowed into last time is coming up, etc. I think it's the beauty of SWTOR. There's lots of different things to do and lots of upgrade paths you can take.
Cry_Havoc
I have to lean with the OP on this one. As limiting as the space rails are, I do enjoy it for quick credits and mind numbing fun. And, Im good at it! I can make it through AB without taking a point of damage.. Soo, I was excited with the new release. After decking out the ship with all Level 7 space gear (a nice bit of money making genius on their part) I jumped in. After getting my ***** waxed on every single new mission, I was a bit frustrated. Man, these things are a bit on the "are you serious" side. If you play defensively enough to stay alive, you will not meet your objective. Offensively enough to meet the objectives and your space particles and fast....
THX-
Ill add I too think the boast in difficulty is a bit high for the new space missions. I do like that they are harder, but just a wee bit to painful.
Ansalem
I'm absolutely shocked that people are saying these missions are hard. I have had zero trouble with any of the missions with the exception of cha raaba which took me a few tries to nail down, but now that I have my timing down its a 1 shot everytime. I'm upset that I mastered these new missions in under an hour. They are not difficult and they are just as boring as the old missions. An entire waste of time and resources by bioware. Stop wasting time bioware and just complete the SSSP already.

TalkingDinosaur
People whined space missions are too easy. Now people are whining they're too hard. I can say after beating my first mission I felt pretty dang heroic. Dodging cannon fire that would otherwise turn my shields in fodder and leave me a burning red target for everyone to blast into pieces. I love it. I love the tight unforgiving turns. It ticks me off in a good way that I need to get better and go in with a strategy.
Ansalem
They are still too easy. People just need to be smarter than the railshooter. Just take a look at the path and where the ships are on the route. Now just switch back and forth between extra shielding and extra weapons boost as needed while using evasion when under heavy fire and emp bursts where they will have maximum effect in assisting you to blow up a tough target. Use all the tools available to you and they are very easy. I'm going to do the daily every day until Ive completed the daily for each and then never doing them again. Ace Yes, i completed the new missions except for new kov ice field. Yes, i did it with grade 6 equip, only tharnius Disruption required one grade 7 item. CJAShadow
I have done 3 of the 6 space missions with buying the 300k converter and I never got the "make invincible" #2 on your hotkeys. Don't get me wrong though, they are very very difficult to still do and take a couple tries to memorize the layouts and know when to shoot at what. The last 3 are impossible without that Warfare Pod I think. I do really love the challenge though. These missions are a perfect difficulty. Don't bother with the grade 7 one, 10 sec of invul are already more than enough for all situations.

Draloch
I spent a good amount of time trying a few of these with my grade 5 ship and couldn't do it. I had my cybertech make me a set of grade 6 stuff and bought the converter and was able to do one of them with several attempts. I think they did a good job of making some content that I can't just steamroll in the first week and then be bored. I like it the way it is, and I plan on devoting a little time every week to making progress on these missions. Oh, and this guy: oh and for the naysayer... http://i.imgur.com/2jKOo.jpg though I completed these within an hour yesterday when I logged in after patch there is a ss of the achievements. Leovinus
I have to say, while a bit more difficulty on space missions was needed, if the goal was to get more people involved, this extreme jump is NOT the way to do it. Something that takes many multiples of tries and grinding out for a few months to get enough comms to buy the upgrade parts will find people dropping like flies before they even get strong enough to give them an honest try. If, on the other hand, it was meant to give about 10% of those who were complaining the space was too easy before something more to do, then spot on. But considering about 5% or less (number pulled out of my rectum) of the population did space before with any consistency... you might be able to see the issue.
